what are everyones plans? i always avoid going out but with my new smoker im going to make staying in pretty awesome. i have a 4lb brisket rubbed and getting happy in the fridge going to smoke it later today and instead of apple juice when i go to wrap im going to try using a hard cider. also making a BBQ sauce for dipping. Why? because i can't stand boiled meat, potato and veg.

You need to try some boiling bacon. It's the authentic Irish boiled meat.

Smoked Ice. Put a bowl of ice in the smoker until it melts. Refreeze it in ice cube trays. Put the cubes in a cheap glass of scotch and voila a glass of single malt from the Isle of Islay.

boiling meat should be a crime. i don't care if its bacon or beef. jackie asked me to make corned beef and cabbage next week. i honestly can't stand it. but i guess I will have to do it this once.

Boiled bacon sounds disgusting. I'm not into boiled meats either. I'll be anti Irish an brew my octoberfest an maybe do a pumpkin spice beer. Never thought about smoked ice before I mite have to give that a try.

I'll be eating my boiled meat and potatoes, my yeast less bread, and my dark beer. And I'll then have some corned beef hash for breakfast the next morning, with some black pudding and rashers.

i will say irish soda bread without those crappy carraway seeds is quite delicious.
