| i thought they were pretty good. they are significantly better then what i had. it's pretty much a trail truck but the other day i had to test them out so i drove it to work, i felt bad because the lift on my truck and those lights, every time someone cut me off it would just go right through their back windshield and light up the whole interior of their car. | |

| Rear brake pads changed. Yeah, no squeal.
However, I diagnosed a faulty rear air valve (overnight drop w/ door open). The front air valve was reply easy to remove bit I cannot seem to get at the rear one - any suggestions? | |

| got my new to me rear bumper fitted. its on there, but kinda sitting kinda wonky. partially because i can't tighten the bolts down. the bolts are so massive i can't get a socket or a crescent wrench in there to tighten them down. if anyone knows what the mounts on the rear of the d1 look like you know why... strange homemade shit.....
since the new bumper doesn't have holes for turn signals, i need to rewire the turn signals into the brake light pillars. Might just run them into the reverse bulbs and use amber bulbs there and put LED work lamp hooked up to the reverse lights.... i hate doing electric work.
also did an oil change. | |

| I mounted a Terafirma front bumper on my ‘04 disco today. It was an enormous pain in the ass. I could not get it on the frame no matter how many times I tried or how much I hit it with a dead blow mallet. I ended up having to get my buddy to hold a tire in place on the stone wall in my driveway. I inched the truck up until it was holding the tire against the wall. Put the truck in 4 –Low and hit the gas. Seated the bumper hillbilly style. It is on tighter than a ducks ass, but I am going to get it welded to the frame later in the week. | |

| So I figured out how to post so this is an edit from months ago. 2008 LR3 w/ BFG AT KO2's ... this is at extended suspension height and I do have Johnson Lifts installed. This makes the truck 2.5" + 0.75" = 3.25" taller than stock at normal height. This was after 1st time out at Rausch in July. Took the 101 course; something safe and simple. The LR3 chewed up the obstacles. Look closely at front left, I almost lost a tire with a stick jammed in there. Deflated tire and removed, no issues. I just order frontrunner roof rack .... More pics soon!

| Because my homemade diff gaurd sticks out slightly further than before, the stockish bend panhard rod did not fit anymore. So I made a new one out of .188 wall tubing I already had. I tried to get fancy and made the axle end too close to the gaurd. So I will make another one slightly longer on that end tomorrow. | |
