NELRC invited to show at the Philly Auto Show

I'm not sure mine is show worthy... BUT I know some of you guys with defenders or series trucks that are tricked out or even a hooked up disco might make the cut. They are hosting a "face-off" where it's Jeeps/Broncos vs Land Rovers, in a domestic vs import category. NELRC has been invited to have members submit their vehicle information. If selected your truck will be on display at the auto show for the entire time and you will get an entrance ticket for yourself and a friend for the duration of the show.

The Philly Face Off was introduced in 2012 pitting Mustang against Camaro followed by Ford versus Chrysler in 2013. Attendees of the Philadelphia Auto Show selected their champs in each competition with charity donations going to causes according to the voting results.

This year’s event will be presented in the main exhibition hall! We are seeking submissions from Trucks and SUV’s, foreign and domestic to face off on the exhibit floor. We have submissions from a few Jeeps and Broncos and would like to set them against and represent Land Rovers and Range Rovers.

Carlisle and the Philadelphia Auto Show will market this event and the Face Off through various forms of media, so there is good opportunity for a lot of attention beyond the significant attendance of this event.

Reaching out to see if you can get word out to your membership that we are looking for participants that can showcase Rovers or refer us to potential participants?

The 2015 Edition of the Philadelphia Auto Show will take place in just a few weeks from January 31th- February 8th. Setup Day / Roll-In Day for Vehicles has been locked in already and will be the morning of Wednesday January 28th with Private Media Day on the 30th. So this means Vehicles would have to remain in display from the morning of January 28th to the Night of February 8th without any movement. The scheduled times for Roll-In is not 100% set until we know all the cars in the display. We will be working with each vehicle owner selected to make an appointment for load in.

To apply for a chance at having a vehicle displayed please apply at http://Invitationals.CarlisleEvents.com The application is the same process as events at Carlisle and takes about 10 minutes to complete. The application asks for complete contact info, a brief history on the vehicle, and of course photos of the vehicle. The selection process will not be immediate but as we select cars we will be contacting them as selections are made.

We'll see if they take mine, although with roof rack he can be quite a looker. I guess I'll need to add my bush cables and sliders to really make it pop. What's the cut off date for this?

Mine does not have a straight panel on it or an interior. Think I have a chance?

I'll give the G4 a try after I finish its new facelift hopefully within the next week or so. But I think I offroad it to much for it to really be a "show car". That said, imagine the trucks us imports would be paired against... I'm imagining a jeep with 5 inch lift and 38s...

Awesome! Well done Sam. worth the effort! take pics, i'd love to see what rover they do have on display. my guess is it will be a defender.

did anyone go? i just got a follow up email from the guy he said thanks and they chose a few rovers to be in it. wondering if anyone has any pics

When was it? I had got an email said respond for free tickets that never showed up
