Hey I wanted to let everyone on here know there is a rash of catalytic converters being stolen in the nyc area lately. They stole mine out D2 about a month ago, and just hit a buddy of mine out of his last night. I'm in the Bronx, he's in Yonkers.
The cops said they are starting to get more aggressive with doing this, especially easy targets like a disco. High, 2 cats really easy to accesses.

If it happens to anyone else post here, and also here is a part number from autozone wlaker 55417. I put them in my truck. Fit well, seems to do the trick (only driven like 30 miles though) and are around 600. $3000 at the dealer and 800 Atlantic British.

I learned some years ago that if you are going to steal catalytic converters the best ones are bigger vehicles, bigger the better. That way you have the most material to offload for your time and energy. Usually you try to get vehicles that are low miles as they have more material that can be sold off. Surprised they are going after Disco 1's and 2's.
