Trails Road Delta PA Saturday 01/21/11

So Nick is ready to get out there and test his truck with the new lift and I should have the new engine in this weekend so I figured why not!

We will be meeting at Delta Diner in Delta PA at 9:00A.M.

For those of you not familiar with Trails it is a public road that has pretty much just been washed away. There are tons of videos on youtube. The first hill is decently steep with rock, then at the bottom turns into a rock garden with some massive boulders and a bypass. Then there is some mud holes - nothing super crazy but could get fun if it was really wet. then after a little bit down there is a turn around which used to lead to the old exit road. There are some really steep hills, another rocky creek bed and some other fun spots to play around.

We will probably only be there for a couple hours, maybe longer if there is snow and ice on the ground cause the entrance/exit hill could get tricky.

I would suggest diff guards if you dont have them already because the whole area has rocks that are about diff high if you're running 30's-32 inch tires. I have tow straps, a winch and other recovery goodies if anybody gets stuck.

Play area at turn around, these hills are steep and there are about 6 routes. I took that one that used to be the end of the roads loop and it has a major "pucker factor" cause it's huge and all rutted out on top

Sweet sounds good, looks like it may snow according to the forecast but that will likely change. There are some hills that gave me hell pretty much exactly where that chevy got stuck on both. I'm excited to go back and give them another go.

the map has is it in Airville this map doesnt really show you much. The E trails road part that comes back up and connects doesnt connect anymore. You would end up in somebodies back yard. This is why we couldnt find it the first time we went.

not bad only have to go thru 4 states to get there.

Might have to move me down to the possibles, with my dogs vet bill Im pretty broke but I'll try my best to make it.
