Spring in the Pines 4/28 - 4/29

I think my fucking oil pump took a shit on itself and died so depending on how quickly I can get that fixed I might not be able to make it. I'll have a better idea tomorrow, FUCK!

Should be a good trip! I have a good route planned for us. Spending the first half of the day in Byrne Forest and lunch and wheeling in the afternoon in Wharton. We will hit more sand and mud in Byrne and water, mud and sand in Wharton.

I'm coming down with my mechanic buddy Waldir. He works on Rovers and Lotus race cars out of his shop in the town next to me. He tried to kill me in a Esprit with a double turbo in it last time i went by his shop. Dave Schramm will be there hopefully his winch is working because mine took a dump that last trip and I didnt realize it until yesterday. Sam, Kevin, Brian and Peter Baldwin (sells Amsoil products) are all on the list.

We are going to do dinner at Pic a lilly and if people are up for it after setting up camp over at Atsion we will do some night wheeling. Sunday we will do some hill climbs and head back up thru Byrne to explore around the bogs and lakes.

Im up for night wheeling. The guy with the most lights leads. So thats either ed or dave.

I read somewhere there are sand pits near Lacey Road.

We're going to be west and south of the sand pits. They are all private property, and posted no tresspassing also.

I am curious, how do we communicate between vehicles? Is it just shouting out the window or do we bring walkie talkies?

yeah yeah.. so i got stuck for a few hours. and Brian tore my rear bumper clear off, thank you Sam for you continued effort to pull and therefore not letting the bumper kill Brian. Everyone else got stuck at least once, except Sam in his fancy LR3. pictures are on Facebook. If you have any I would love to add them to the facebook page email them to me.
