Land Rover Defenders for EVERYONE

So my friend who is in the Royal Army over in England just bought a '85 110 RHD 5spd with the bench seats in the back and soft top. We are trying to figure out how to get it over here and sorted out. If this works out and we line up a buyer, we can do this on demand. He is willing to pick them up and drive them to the seaport to have them loaded on the boat for a small fee. I know i'm going to get one for myself. All of these trucks are Ex-MOD.

The final cost after purchase of the truck, shipping, taxes at the port, registration of the vehicle to the US, and his fee should come out to about $8,000 - $10,000 depending on a few variable including shipping port location, cost of the vehicle etc. etc.

He is going to snap some pictures of the first truck when he picks it up this weekend.

Have you contacted Dividing Creek Imports? Doug has quite a bit of experience importing Defenders, and usually personally delivers them behind his D 130.

Talk to Mongo on Dweb, he just brought in a 130. There's a shitload of forms to do, unless you pay an importer/exporter. Otherwise just drive it into a 20ft shipping container, easiest way.

yeah i have all the forms it's not as bad. try bringing a woman over. that's a lot of forms. i talked to Doug and i talked to Gustavo, i don't have the money for one for myself right now but it's good to know that i have the means all lined up.

why you want one? the one my m8 bought was an 87 they didnt tell him until he went to pick it up so he couldnt ship it anyway. he is going to sell it on ebay uk.

as will this, which was imported just a few weeks ago. Starting on page 3 of a nice cheaply bought Defender from the UK and then imported over here. Both examples were through Doug...man he should start paying me for this! haha.
