Rovers on the Rocks - Rausch Creek - November 9th-10th

ROTR4 will be november 9-10th.

You can camp for free at Rausch Creek. The smart, civilized, or just those wanting to get drunk in warmth will be staying at the Hampton inn.

Awards Dinner Saturday night at the Hampton.

Actually was able to get the days off looking forward to this since I missed Conclave

Come join Lucky8 and British 4x4 specialists on Nov 9th & 10th for Rovers on the Rocks 4 at Rausch Creek!
This will be the 4th Land Rover ONLY Rock Challenge in the world!
As in the years past there will trail rides going on all day Friday and Saturday except for when everyone gets together for the Rock challenge.
The challenge will have 2 classes. Expedition class 32in tires and under and Open class 33in to 36in tires.
The Low down:
Both British 4x4 specialists and Lucky 8 will be there at 9am Friday and Saturday.
The Rock Challenge begins at 1pm Saturday.
The Land Rover Rock Challenge is included in your admission to Rausch Creek, but please let us know if you want to compete.
On Saturday night we will have the awards dinner at the Hampton Inn with catering from Buddies Log Cabin again.
The dinner will be $20 per person and if you have not had Buddies “Filling” it is worth it.
Lucky 8 and British 4x4 specialists will be staying at the Hampton Inn. The rooms are $70 a night. Dogs are welcome but cost extra. The Hampton Inn has a block of rooms set aside so when you call just let them know you are coming for Rovers on the Rocks event.

ill be there....at least on sat. being 40 mins away i cant justify staying over unless the weather is really nice and i can camp.
might be just me this time. seth's DI isnt quite right

his '94 DI has just not been starting, you can jump it and all is well but it wont turn over on its own.
Trevor thinks we need to re-wire from ignition to starter and maybe from starter to coil/batt.

i had a short from battery to starter. i just ran a separate line and made the truck push to start.

There's a reason the call him 'the Rover Whisperer'. He's about the best there is.

I know a guy who owns an independent Rover shop out here near Pittsburgh. He rarely gets out with his trucks (an SIII Ambulance and a D1), and never gets online, but he's heard of the wonders of Trevor's shop.

I just wonder if it's really true that some ancestor of his was one of Lucas' minions?

Ruasch creek is a "pay to play" park. For this event you just pay Rausch when you show up. The only think you need to register for is the dinner which is at the hotel and if you want a t shirt for the event. I believe it's $35 for the driver for the day and $15 for a passenger. You also have to pay a $15 membership fee which is good for a year. So you are looking at around $85 for two days of wheeling for just a driver. here is their site http://www.rauschcreekoffroadpark.org/

thanks Hilltopper i just needed to know if we had to pay anything in advance for the park. we can camp out for free there right? i have winter gear for camping i want to try out.
