Video camera

Corie and me have kinda been looking for a camera to take on off road trips does anyone have any good suggestions on brand, style, where to buy???? We havent the slightest idea on that stuff. The only thing I can think that I would want is it to be waterproof.

I have a flip ultra hd. Its not waterproof, but they sell an underwater case for it. I use a suction cup and mount it on the window.

I think I remember seeing you use that before, its fairly compact isnt it? Are they fairly easy to use?

I guess waterproof isnt the proper term but more water resistant if some mud or anything gets splashed on it I wont be buying a new camera.

they discontonued the Flip cameras. I use one at work they are dead simple to use.

I always just used the camcorder on my cell phone but it shoots HD video, i can also charge it on my car charger...

if i were to buy one i would get the GoPro HD Hero 960, just cuz it's badass and you can mount it everywhere.

Considering their still available, and stupid easy to use. I still recommend the flip. The 2hr Flip ultra HD's are cheap at best buy and walmart. I bought mine from the helpful hasidics at B&H. Ed is right though, Cisco isn't going to continue developing them.
