winch bumper $400

ehhhhh for $400 youd rather have an arb. Who knows how that one turned out anyways

You say that until you go to have somebody pull you out or winch yourself out and it bends or breaks...

X2 only I'd have finished the above statement with, "...and when it breaks it launches a 3/4" shackle through someone's truck...or worse yet, their head..."

Bottorf's crap was cheap, but from what I've seen, most of the folks who actually received their products still didn't even get what they paid for...

I just got in from the bar what I typed made sense at the time I didn't mean to say botteroff was better that my arb and I wouldn't want to cut corners on safety especially when other people are involved . I meant any bumper is better that plastic stock piece

I was one of the few that actually got a Bottorf (only 2 weeks late I may add..) and have had it on for over a year now.
The bumper is strong/solid, and I had no troubles mounting it, in fact did it myself w/ a floor jack in about 20 minutes.
I've winched/been winched/snatched/been snatched many times from the hard points w/o problem.
However, the overall craftsmanship of the product is poor; sloppy welds, sloppy cuts, and the a-bar was mounted crooked.
But, since it was half the price of any other winch mount, I'm learning to deal with it.

And it makes for good conversation on the trail...
