good news is my sport and manual modes work again and my truck is shifting properly thru all gears! that means me cleaning the tranny ecu worked!!

bad news is im having a severe misfire on cylinder 8. throwing just one code 308. its making the CEL blink it's so bad and as soon as i clear it, it comes right back. i only went up and down the street but it's parked now until i get a warm day to pop the hood and see wtf is going on....

strange that i drove the whole way home without any codes or misfires i park it and go out there and now its having a bad misfire on one cylinder only... hoping its something simple.

If you're not losing coolant it's probably a spark plug wire, hope you figure it out and it's something simple

Just a thought..

I had same issue. My indy shop wanted to replace wire set (which had just been done a year previous) and forums suggested everything from bad coil to coolant leak.
I pulled plug, looked fine. Replaced it, and set the plug wire with a slight tap with a socket extension and hammer. The code hasn't been back in over two years.
I'm sure I got lucky, but again, just something to consider before you spend any $$.

Good luck.

Dielectric grease all the way!! especially when you're hitting the water hard. and making sure they are seated will help too!
