Is there a thread somewhere showing how you cut your fenders in more detail?
I need to cut mine to clear 35 inch tires soon.

Buy fender flares and cut at what you can. The flare will hide it. Plus it's aluminum so you could do it with crayons scissors. Simple. I'm of the "cut everything you can the first time" mindset. Jake is in the middle of a trim/check/trim cycle. But sounds like he got it pretty close the first time

The only reason I didnt trim everything the first time around was because I didnt have my flares yet and didn't want to cut too much and not have anyhing to mount to. And they aren't perfectly round like you can see in the pic. I'm also cutting for 35's and you're cutting for 32's

Dan to answer your question I basically cut all the way around to the first lip with an angle grinder with a cutting blade. Then I followed it around to the bottom and took off a bit where the tires will end up when stuffed. Then I took a flapper disc and smoothed it out. It's still a bit rough looking in person but it works and you could paint it if you wanted. Cutting the doors is fun.. If I didnt to have fenders sticking out as far as tires in PA I wouldn't have got flares. I opted for the 50mm flexi flares instead of the wider 70mm cause I only have an inch or two of tire sticking out.

Damn, I wish I saw that this was going on. I would have liked to bring the Rover this time rather than the Jeep. I'm guessing there wasn't the catastrophic failure this time, like the last.

Haha yea I almost ended up on my side at one point. Driving around those big ass rocks wthout a spotter.
Let me know when you wanna go next. I need to come down to your place at some point too.
