| Just got this done last night, only problem is that it seems lucky8 sent me a rubber connector for a Defender intake and not the steel connector for the D2 intake. Trying to get a hold of them today to see if they can get it too me quickly. Which leads me to waterproofing questions, what electrical points (like the CPS ect) do I need to spray and what silicon spray brand did you guys use? | |

It might help ya out awesome thanks, my plan was just to take a fire hose and full the engine bay with silicon. This is a much better solution!

I use dielectric grease on my alt, spark plugs coils and electric connections but D1's are easier. I still need to water proof my ECU though. Talk to Ed about Trans ECU

Hoping to have my rig more water-worthy this year. Just put D2 door seals on and sealed a hole under the passenger side seat belt.

| Yup, it's a South Down/Terreferma. What is nice is that the tube goes all the way to the airbox so you can throw away that crappy fabric part. | |

FIFY Fixed it for me?! I didn't write anything CLOSE to that. Geez, talk about digging for a quote... I guess I am only safe if I leave again. That, or write "the Pines suck" in every post so Eddie deletes them.

What do you mean they sent the wrong connector? I just installed this on my D2... ...the instructions weren't worth crap, but I didn't think they'd omitted any parts.

| Oh totally, those instructions sucked. The rubber boot they sent with it looked like it was for a Defender intake and I thought a stainless steel fitting was supposed to come with it. All is good now though. [img] [/img] | |

| How about an under-the-hood shot of the connection to the air box on these Southdown snorkels. | |

In your D2? Under the driver seat. Thanks, I am going to make it a priority to waterproof it. It's a good thing my doors didn't leak this weekend because I was up past the door sills a couple of times.

It's a good thing my doors didn't leak this weekend because I was up past the door sills a couple of times. it wont come in that fast unless there are no seals... you have to literally be stuck for a few mins before it will start to come in enough to flood... which since you saw is an easy task to accomplish.... the ecu site underneath the stereo amp on the driver seat there are 3 bolts holding it to the floor and then 4 plastic shitty screws holding the ecu to the amp. just pry open the delicate metal tabs and you have exposure to one side of the circuit board. rivets hold in the other side.
