4x4 parade on Brigantine Beach, NJ - May 19th

Hey guys, so i just heard about this cool event going on over at Brigantine Beach NJ on May 19th. It's $5 to register, and with that you get to entered for a 4x4 parade and prizes. The $5 registration fee also covers a day pass permit for the beach, so you can drive around, park, set up a tent, grill, music. Whatever your heart desires. Also there will be a bonfire at 8pm. This is a great event for the family or friends. Only requirement is that your vehicle needs to be a 4x4 (which shouldn't be a problem here) and no open headers. Registration is open 10am - 1pm and parade starts at 2pm. You can decorate your vehicle if you want to, but you don't have to.

I can't find anywhere that states you can park on the beach and set up for a day of fun. I am not going to drive on the beach for 30 blocks only to park in a lot somewhere.

it will be nice if in fact you can drive on the beach and set up camp for the day.

I posted a question on the page asking the very same question, cause i completely agree, its not worth it to drive all that way just for the parade, the real fun is in parking on the beach and the bonfire. It would appear that you can, being the fact that the $5 registration fee acts like your beach pass for the day. However i just messaged one of the people setting up the event for a guarantee, so i'll let you know what she responds as soon as i get it.

If we can camp on the beach with our trucks that would be awesome.

Brigantine Beach 4×4 Parade and Bonfire Saturday, May 19th
A family-friendly event, sponsored by the City of Brigantine and the Chamber of Commerce
Pre-registration: City Manager’s office at City Hall
Registration day of event: 10a-1p Brigantine Community Center. We encourage you to REGISTER EARLY at 10am, due to the growing excitement for this event.
$5 registration fee per car – only cash or check accepted for registration. Sorry…NO credit cards
A city 4×4 beach permit is not required
All-wheel drive vehicles are not permitted….only 4×4’s
Dogs are welcome, but must be on leash.
Free Ocean ave. parking at 32nd street, 26th street, 17thstreet, and 38th street
Bonfire will end at 10 pm. All vehicles must exit beach at that time
Camping is NOT allowed
Alcohol is NOT allowed <-- don't make it obvious and i'm sure you'll be fine
Food / Picnic on beach IS allowed
If bar-b-que….propane only…no charcoal
Parade start time is 2p
Parade starts at the 38th st. beach, proceeding north on the beach to Kirby’s Point (9th St south)…then turning south to 17th st. where judging will take place.
Winners announced during beach bonfire at 8 p.m.
$300 first prize
$200 second place
$100 for both 3rd and 4th place winners.
Volunteers Needed. Contact Ellie at 609-266-7600 Ext. 212 for info.

So what i see is that your allowed on the beach and you can park and set up shop, but u can't camp overnight. Gotta be off the beach by 10pm...

Cool I will make it a point to be there but I dont think my rover will be ready so I may have to take the rubicon instead
