| we have two in July i know there is going to be another ROTR this year and also Robesonia is going to have a trials event. I was thinking of having a Fall event in either Mass or Vermont. I'm going to contact Rovers North and see if anyone up there is interested. I know it would be a hike for us but it would be nice to explore some new grounds and in the fall it will have cooled off for camping. I was thinking of a friday saturday sunday deal. I am also thinking of a winter event not sure if the barrens is an idea or Rausch but some snow could make things interesting in the pines. im open to ideas and suggestions so throw em out!! | |

Yuuuppp I'm not excited for the wheeling down south. Going to have to travel everywhere else. I'm happy there are no politics/money involved with this club.

| Stole this from Stan's bucket list: http://www.georgiaoffroad.com/facility.php?facilityid=50It is in Georgia so obviously Jake will have the shorter trip. Starting in September I will be back in school at Rutgers and time and money will be scarce. A trip early in either the fall or spring semester would be doable. Also, I saw on d90 source that a guy is planning a Rausch trip I think the weekend before our Pines trip. Jake needs to get out there again before going to Florida. I'm in to go on the Saturday. EDIT: July 15-17th http://www.d-90.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31716 | |

| i can't make that Southern Appalachian Expedition this year, i have a wedding that weekend. i think that is about a 13 hr drive one way for me. i took the rover down to Charlotte NC two years ago that took me about 11 hours 30. | |

I MIGHT be able to do the SAE depending on... well - the same thing everything other trip is depending on at this point!

| i am out of ideas... i looked at a bunch of different off road parks, one in maine, three others in far western pennsylvania, there are loads of public trails in Vermont, there is some crazy looking thing upstate NY outside Albany that they have trails and mud bogs.. CT and Mass don't have much except private lands and NJ only has the pines and that Mahwah fire trail which I'm not even sure if that's legal. I wonder if we could work something out like R.O.V.E.R.S did in Ringwood state park where they pledged to clean up the trails if they were allowed access to the trail system... anyone got anything? | |

| Well, there's 3 trips this month. Then in october you have robsonia, mar, and the cove. November is rovers on the rocks. Frank usually sets up a ringwood trip in the fall. Then you got winter romp, and if you're really daring, the easter expedition.
They set the dates for the wilds next year. I already told Lauren we're going. The guys at njlr do a pines run about every other month. There's lots of events for us to go to. There's alot of the pines we haven't explored, and we've not even seen the northeast section of rausch yet.

Robesonia will be good depending on how many trucks go, last time it was crowded so they need to prepare better this time around. I didnt hear a date on that yet? did you see that on the ROVERS forum? as for MAR I don't know what that will turn out like. their spring rally there were 8 trucks. i can't make it because i have a wedding that Saturday anyway. As for the Cove i have not heard anything...i'm interested in the ringwood trip and winter romp. i want to have our own winter trip i think a winter trip in feb to the pines would be cool, snow make everything cooler.

| We have decided to move to PA after all!
Now we just have to figure out where we can get most bang for our buck. Thinking Lancaster or Harrisburg area. Or somewhere closer to ny/nj.
Time to hijack this thread -- any suggestions for places in PA with yard, garage space and cheap?

| If it were me i would be looking towards Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton, then you can get to NYC and Philly in near equal times in case you want to catch a flight. Plus they have airport in Scranton if you scoot up 476. if you want the best bang for your buck you need this http://lancaster.craigslist.org/apa/2470247041.html I mean $850!! that's crazy. my rent is 2.5x that! (i gotta get the hell outta here) | |

LOL is there enough to convert some into a living space? Maybe I'll start fabricating low quality land rover parts?
