Well SHIT!

I was about 4 miles from home with the GDE and I smelled something simaliar to burnt diesel fuel, I didnt think mutch of it because I was behind a 18 wheeler and I had the window down. 2 more miles and I noticed the rpms were a little higher than than they should be at the speed I was going. I had a leak in one of my trans lines or the trans was done for good. I very slowly drove the last 2 miles home and checked the trans fluid. NILL!!! Oh shit!!!! I found one of the trans lines pouring the last of the fluid out and a very well lubed under carrage. I hope the trans didnt burn up.

x2 although it sucks, a bad tranny is pretty minor compared to how badly it could have ended...

Chris dont feel bad this kind of shit happens with Rovers this old. Its part of the Rover life that one just has to except!

Ok, So I replaced the line with some hi-pressure line of the same size. The trans seems to run just fine maybe even better than before! I used the castrol atf + . Shifts real good. I'm gonna order the replacement lines some time this week. I'll have the GDE in the shop so I'll problably do the fuel sending unit the same day. The shifter for the LT230 is on its way, The OM617 is still in the works. I'm going to pick up the 5 speed sometime in the next week. If any one has a line on a Disco foot pedal assembly for a 5 speed let me know, This is the only part I'm having problems finding for the conversion
