PostSubject: D1 in Texas for Sale   D1 in Texas for Sale I_icon_minitimeTue Jan 22, 2013 6:46 pm

A guy my dad knows in Denton, Texas is selling his trail rig, The guy wants $4500 for it.

His number is 972 839 1567 just let him know that you got the info from me (Kevin, Mannys son).

Here is the email:

It’s pretty much rust free, I think the one issue mentioned below has been fixed... don’t quote me on that, I didn’t fix it but did a bit of work on the truck when he first got it.

The previous owner was a rover nutjob that was a British car sadist....errrr mechanic/enthusiast. He sold the Rover to move to the UK for work.

Here’s the info from the original for sale ad from December 2010.... mileage is no longer accurate.
1995 Land Rover Discovery
158,xxx miles

- Mean Green gear reduction starter

Extended shock mounts, front and rear

Rovertym HD Steering Linkage
Detroit Locker Rear
Rear Diff gaurd

- 6 Hella 4000s front, 2 Hella FF50s (Small oval ones) rear, Hi Lift mount, CB antenna mount, Limb lifter tabs
16” D1 Steel wheels
- 255/85 BFG MTs (about 50-60% tread with like new spare)
Adapter to allow for 255/85 spare to be mounted on the rear door
ARB Front Bumper with reinforced recovery points and limb lifter tabs
Warn M8000 Winch
Great Basin Rover HD Front Drive Shaft
Rotoflex Conversion
No Loss Valve Stems
Removed small section of rear seat for extra storage
Custom wooden floor in the load area with 4 flanges to tie gear down (covered in tan carpet)
- Makes mounting things to the floor very easy

- Optima Yellow Top 2nd battery
D2 Headlamps w/ City Lights
Hood Black Out applique
Sony CD/ Sat/ Bluetooth/ HD Radio head unit w/ amp under rear seat
New Door seals all around, including the rear hatch
Box of spares (fuel filter kit, serp. belt, couple other things it doesnt need but I carry just in case)
Aux Fuse box under dash for lamps (fully powered)
Blue Sea box in cargo area for other things (fully powered)
Columbia Overland black rear door panel with fold down butcher block table
New Transmission cooler lines
Land Rover rubber floor mats front and rear
Extended brake hoses, front and rear

The Good: Great off road and on the road. Lots of work done recently (front pads, new rear calipers, rear pads, rear rotors, rear wheel bearings and seals, ignition module, fuel tank, fuel pump and relay, handbrake shoes and adjuster, rear transfer case output seal and flange). Motor replaced with a lower mileage used one and it runs very strong. Passed emissions and safety inspection. All windows and door locks work. Alarm ECU replaced so everything works. New distributor less than 6 months ago. Neither of the front seats are torn but they are well worn.

The Bad: Has rust but less than the usual by far. Nothing too major and confined to the drivers floor. It is not a hole but more like a crack where the two parts of the floor come together. Could be easily patched from underneath with a flat piece of metal. Other than that, its solid. The drivers seat bracket has a hole/ ear rusted away so the drivers seat is attached to the floor by three out of the 4 bolts. Drivers seat no longer adjusts (switch issue). Front windshield wipe/ wash no longer works. I installed new relays but its either the actual switch or the MFU (BRAND NEW IN BOX ones of each are included). Just havent had the time to install one or the other to fix the problem. Faded paint and some pinstripping. Headliner sags a little bit (normal for just about every D1). Some paint sun burn.
