Ok so now I find my self with another Disco this one is a 2001 D2 with 100k , my mom decided she dont want it and just sign over the title to me , now this is a black stock Disco fairly good shape just the front plastic bumper cover is crack , so since I have my 98 D1 hook up I was wondering if I should switch all the offroad gear to this one ...so will the D1 SD rack fit?? will the D1 ARB bumper fit?? will the rear ladder and front and rear diff guards fit?? ...worst part being a 01' dont think that it came with the lt230 , good thing this truck was a Florida until my mom move back north about 3 years ago very little to no rust ...and I dont think my OME shocks and springs will fit either mmm should I keep it stock if not I'll sell it and buy a more fuel economy DD .

think your better off doing this. imo. you already have your d1 with cdl and some upgrades. sell and buy yourself a 4cyl commuter DD.

yeah cris I would sell it. get yourself a Honda off craigslist to get back and forth to work. smartest move i ever made was ditching my d2 for a honda for daily driving.

Im going sell one of the discos the question is more like should I hook this one up and sell the 98 or keep the 98 and sell the 01 not having the lt230 is my biggest problem on the 01 otherwise I think I will upgrade to a D2 .... So will the D1 stuff fit in the D2 in case I look under and it is a lt230

all you have to do is see if it has the nipple or not. the bumper will fit with two quick trims to the mounting horns on the ARB. the rack will fit but will be 6" too short. eventually you will find someone with a d2 rack looking for a d1 rack and can trade. the ladder will fit. everything else will need modifications to fit. d1 perches, some tweaking to the diff guards if they are weld on.

The biggest qualifier will be if the 2001 has a cdl nipple on it. If it doesn't, I personally wouldn't bother. The springs, bumper, and rack could easily fit. A set of d1 spring perches or spacers in the rear would level it out. The rack can be shifted as far back as possible, to make it not look too out of place until you find someone to trade. Even then I would only swap everything if it is in substantially better condition than your d1.
