Friday - Rausch Creek 9:00 am hit the trails. The daily entrance fee is $35.00 for the vehicle and driver. Passengers age 16 and up are $7.00 each (When a passenger joins the park, the $7.00 fee is waived that day). hey Tom, sorry, yes its Friday July 17- Sat July 18 and some will camp Sat and take off Sunday morning July 19.

just a quick update i'm waiting for a call back from the guy at the trail head to get an update on how things are progressing at Anthracite. Going to see if it is worth us spending two days at that park, or if we will continue to do what we always have which is one day at Rausch and one day at ANthracite. As soon as I hear back I will let you know and will post more details here and for those on Facebook, will post it on the NELRC Facebook page. Looking forward to a great event!

Sounds like a plan.. Don't know if they changed the regulations for traversing their trail network. I heard of a few people being bounced out of the place..

some trails are closed and are considered trespassing. we are working on an event there in September in the Pines.

Ed good to know about trails closed, probly cause of a holes with giant trucks rutting em so bad they are impassable

I just got back from a trip to Anthracite with and old friend from my jeep days and we did 40 miles in two days, hit 99% of the trails and had a great time. We did find a couple trails that where dead ends but we also found a bunch of really awesome trails and hill climbs. Earth day has not changed but i saw on there site they rent houses so maybe we all could get together and rent them.

only reason we aren't doing anthracite for two days is they only have half the park open. once the other side of the park opens, hopefully next year we will hold a 2-day event there. the other side of the park backs right up to our campsite and we will have direct access from the campsite into the park.

i dont know if pa is tore up like n.j. right now but might want to call and be sure the parks and campgrounds are gonna be open with all these storms tearing shit up, i am in va but wife says no power in our part of n.j. for a week

Ed my wife called and was told we do not need reservations for tent camping? Only for cabins?

Wondering if I should bring a chainsaw?

BTW i will be bringing my scanner if anyone needs d1 2 button fobs programmed plus whatever else the scanner will do

haha. There are no rules I guess Tom, when I spoke to the owners daughter she told me to tell people to call and RSVP, last year people just paid when they showed up... the best part was last year the owner brought us a truckload of firewood for free

Its a disaster as far as organization but whatever
