Rovers on the Rocks 3, 11/11/11 - 11/13/11

Come join Roverlab and Lucky8 on Nov 11th & 12th for Rovers on the Rocks 3 at Rausch Creek!

This will be the 3nd Land Rover ONLY Rock Challenge in the world!

As in the years past there will trail rides going on all day Friday and Saturday except for when everyone gets together for the Rock challenge.

The challenge will have 2 classes. Expedition class 32in tires and under and Open class 33in to 36in tires.

The Low down:
Both Rover Lab and L8 will be there at 9am Friday and Saturday.
The Rock Challenge begins at 1pm Saturday.

The Land Rover Rock Challenge is included in your admission to Rausch Creek, but please let us know if you want to compete.

On Saturday night we will have the awards dinner at the Hampton Inn with catering from Buddies Log Cabin again.

The dinner will be $22 per person and if you have not had Buddies “Filling” it is worth it.

L8 and Roverlab will be staying at the Hampton Inn. The rooms are $70 a night. Dogs are welcome but cost extra. The Hampton Inn has a block of rooms set aside so when you call just let them know you are coming for Rovers on the Rocks event.

Cool. Is anyone participating in the challenge? Im thinking I might have to give it a try since there was only 3 of us last year with 33^. I cant let Jarek just have the the trophy for that class lol.

yeah it's all cleaned up and resealed. I should be getting a new tranny cable from Paul Grant today for $15 shipped. Once i have that i can bolt everything back together and adjust the cable tension and at least be mobile again. Still have to get that damn hub on and my steering is all sorts of crooked need to figure out what is bent down there.

Paul Grant is awesome. we had a good convo and im pretty sure he is living my dream life. he lives self sufficent on a farm with his wife and he doesnt wheel any more cuz he is bored of it but he has gone on month long expeditions thru canada year after year. he used to live down by me and said he just needed some land for crops and livestock.

From what I heard Jarek doesnt practice, he just does it.

Also, WTF! I was already off for the 4th and 5th, now I have to try and get off from work on the 12th.

shirts were out of the store as soon as i found out the date changed. I will work on new ones Tuesday. I'm going to delete the other thread as not to confuse anyone with dates.

I'll bring the bottle of potcheen for friday night. What do you want to do for lunch Saturday? Fish and chips? Keep the deep fried tradition going?
