Been following almost all the post about this event.. What's the plan/schedule like on Friday? I know Lucky8 and RoverLab will be there. Will there be trail ride or rock practice? Just wondering if I should show up on Friday as well.. ThanKS

friday will be trail runs. if u want to go wheeling two days then friday is a good option. there is no practice for the rock course. you can go on the rocks but the exact course wont be setup until saturday lunch time

cool.. looks like i'll be joining you on Friday as well. Do need to leave the park around 3pm. but thats ok and I'll be back on Sat for more driving..

I'm planning to be there bright and early Friday too. Since I'll be driving in from Pittsburgh and straight to the park, can someone tell me where the nearest gas station is? I'd like to top up the tank at the last possible stop before entering RC...

it's right off the exit ramp on 81. down the hill from RC. there is also a burger king there now, if it has opened. it was under construction last time we were there.

There is one on the other side of Tremont. And there is also one up the road in Tower City. I would say both are within 3 miles.

Is there anything special/extra I should bring in terms of gear, food etc, besides the obvious? What time should I be up there on Sat? I was figuring on getting there by 830-9 at latest.

not really, just the usual recovery gear maybe a few tools a socket set, a working bottle jack or similar, some fluids, oil coolant ps brake etc... Brian is going to make chili for lunch on saturday. i will bring all the bowls and spoons etc... dinner will be at the hotel on saturday night along with the awards ceremony from the rock competition. if you have not registered for dinner yet you can do that on the lucky 8 site or by calling Justin.

Ok, sounds good. What time do the trail rides usually end? As of now, I don't think I will be staying the night.

They want you off the trails before dark. If you need to leave before hand its not to hard to find an exit if you have a map.

Whats for breakfast saturday morning? Who's bringing the pork roll?

im bringing eggs/cheese/rolls, if i bring bacon it will be the precooked, the last time i cooked bacon i was cleaning my stove for an hour.

If I make it, it will be Sat am. I'd like to wheel and then watch some of the comp then more wheelin till I leave Sat night. Wondering who will i wheel with since Im pretty much stock? I know you experienced guys want to tackle the harder trails so... anyone wheelin not so hard trails?
