Im aware of his fear, but he promised he was coming at rotr. I was like a sad little boy when he didn't arrive that Saturday morning. It reminded me of when I was 5 and I didn't get that inspector gadget action figure I wanted for christmas.

Yes, I am a puss. We had a family thing that weekend in Maryland. As it went, I stayed home sick by myself. All I could think about was being on the trail with the pounding headaches I was having. I am pretty sure you guys would have left me for dead as I would have been bitching like crazy.

Yeah, I'm kind of afraid what I'm going to see the first time we do a water crossing in it...hopefully the EPA doesn't come looking for me afterwards. It seems to be very good at marking it's territory.

I'd like to make it out for this trip, but the only way I see it happening is if I don't make it to the Maine Winter Romp the weekend before...

jake, to finally answer your question i'm pretty sure the light was a contact and water issue. is pent a lot of time out at the pines swimming (never stuck i might add (can't afford to get stuck b/c i dont have recovery gear)) and i think that all the water just messed up the switch, it seemed like a few days later after it dried out that the light went away. I haven't driven it in a week or so, but when i do tomorrow i'll know for sure. Moral of the story is i need to di-electric everything.

Good deal I have a spare if you need it let me know.. I have d2 door seals they are the shit. Expect your doors to be way harder to shut with actual seals there.

i have em on my driver side and they ket that side bone dry at pines. Funny thing is, they gap way more at the top of my driver door. So get a lot of wind noise, but no water at the bottom so i dont care. I jut need the two from the passenger side. Because the ones i got came off a wrecked truck so pass side was no good. Good to know about the oil switch

and i need to do axel seals and re rerout my breather hoses and THEN it's time to talk snorkel

Yea my brand new rear hub seal was leaking cause the breather was clogged. Reran rear diff to inside the rear hatch door near where the wires go into door. Need to do other 3 and finish the snorkel still lol.

Tease and trans come up next to trans dip stick and diff goes off to side under body

I plan on putting a couple T fittings I have and running the main one between pillar and snorkel

I checked the X-terra link and it looks like a boat load of Nissans are going. I don't think we would fit in too well. I still think we should go but just have our own group. It would be like a Jeep coming to ROTR I think...

sounds like there will be enough of you rover guys to have your own group. you don't want 15 xterras and 6 rovers following you won't get anywhere. as long as you have 3 or 4 guys i would say just go on your own.

How much snow have they gotten out there so far this year? Personally I wouldn't want to be out in a rock garden that all the rocks are hidden by snow, waiting stealthily to destroy my truck

I think jake told me he thought the snow would allow him to do about 20mph thru the garden.
