| I am about to mount my Hella 700FF's on my rack. However I must admit I'm not so great with the electrical stuff. I also like to be fully prepared before I tackle a job. I have the wiring diagram http://www.hella.com/produktion/HellaUSA/WebSite/MiscContent/Download/Drivers/Lighting/500550MountingInstructions.pdfHowever I have a few questions about it. Where did you guys mount your relay? Where did you connect your grounds from the lights? What switch should I use that will fit into stock mounts? The Green wire from the switch thats supposed to connect to the parking lamp. How does that work? Anything else I should know or have for this job? Thanks guys! | |

| The green wire I have running directly to the battery so I can run them independant from the headlights, if you wire it into the headlight wire the headlights have to be on for the hellas to work. As far as relays I have them mounted on the passenger side inner fender, they can be mounted anywhere you have room. The grounds I have running to the hella mount and it gets ground through the rack, I had to run a separate ground wire to the rack itself but it makes it a lot easier then running that mutch more wires. As far as switches I made my own switch panel that mounts on the overhead console where the sunroof switches are,( you can also use the fog light switch to run them also) but I have my air compressor, lockers F&R, and 4 seperate light switches in that panel. | |

So you run the green and the red to the battery? I'm guessing it's just a loop? I wanted to mount the relays some where that will make all the wiring simple. Did you just take one ground from one of the hella light mount and run it to solid ground? I like the set up it sounds pretty sweet.

| Yes I have the green wire going to the battery, if you run it to the headlights like the diagram shows you have to have the headlights on in order for the Hellas work.
The relays can go anywhere really I just found it easy to put mine on the fender but I think it would be cleaner looking if you had space under the dash.
Yes I have one ground running to the base of one of the lights to ground the entire rack, didnt really need it because the rack grounds off of the body but its worth it not haveing to deal with issues later.

| Looking good. I have the relay for my lights mounted onto the battery box. I welded a bar onto my bumper this week, and finally got the lights back on. Now to continue welding all the open seams in the bumper. | |

Damn that does not sound like fun. Just got my RTE sliders have to sand them down and cover them in paint. Will be spending quality time with the angle grinder.

I just picked myself up a $9.99 angle grinder from hf. I now have one for grinding, one for cutting, and one with a wire brush. All got used last week.. Still have more to do, but I had to give the welder back to my brother in law. I'm not looking forward to refinishing my sliders. I will probably end up sandblasting them I think.

I probably should have had the ones I have now sand blasted. I'm hoping to have them on by Rausch. I might also be trading them for a pair of Rockstar Fab sliders. We will see what happens once they are refinished.

| Well, if you want to make a trip down the shore, I'm probably going to pick up a cheap sandblaster in the next month or two. Probably not before rausch, but definitely before the pines trip. | |

I'll see how the grinder and paint holds up. I may take you up on this even after painting them if it doesnt hold up. If I trade them it wont matter anyway. I wish I had room for all of the fun toys. The sliders and gas tank skid are sitting in my living room. My girlfriend is going to kill me if I dont have it all on my truck soon.

| Oh and the lights are up but DO not work. I'll throw somebody a 12 pack and some cash if they get them to work. I seriously suck at eletrical stuff. Got everything wired and flip the swith and the green light comes on anddddd no lights up top. I need to figure out where the disconnect is. Everything is wired the way is should but but in this process I think I poped a fuse.
So for now they are there for looks!

No my work list looks like this. Fan clutch (the source of my over heating) Will Tillery offered me one for $75 with a two year warranty Put console back together and mount CB Get new battery terminals and winch installed (This week waiting for terminals, fairlead and remote) Get southdown steering guard installed (Billy is going to buy my AB steering guard and I'm getting one that will fit with this tray) Install new drive shaft/rotoflex conversion and remove sway bars (at Billys on the 11th) Install spring spacers Install wheel spacers Install TF gas tank skid which I'll be picking up next paycheck or when I sell some of my stuff Finish wiring lights (Still offering $$ to somebody to do this so I can check it off my list) Weld together exhaust and weld on QT front diff guard when I can get a welder and some help. I probably forgot something but this is the majority of it.

| for what it's worth,i put my CB antenna in between my 2 top lights and ran a 1" wide ground strap off the antenna mount down the rack,i then ran smaller ground straps from the rack to under the rack mounting brackets.i then ran the ground wires from my lights to the back of the CB antenna mount.they all work well i need to re space the lights on the rack, they don't look quite right to me | |

It looks like the Garvin mounts in the picture. I told you, buy a set of tabs for $10 , and just weld them on.

Just by the harbor freight welder already! I'd be willing to give you some $$ if I needed to borrow it too so it will probably pay itself off quickly.

| Actually, if you're going to buy a cheap welder, northern tool sells a refurbished version of their 135 amp MIG/flux for like. $250. If I didn't just steal. Pat's lincold all the time, I would pick one of those up myself. | |
