Mother fucker my truck is done!!

Today was the day , after having a shop do an oil change I notice after like 10 miles that the oil warning light was blinking when I stop and going away as I hit the gas , after a while longer it was on solid light at all speeds also notice a knocking sound , by then I was far from the original shop so I called Ryan an advise me to do another oil change so I did at a STS auto center and added 1 and 1/2 quarts of Lucas to the oil , I was happy when the guy turn it back on and no knock ,drove it home it was fine back to normal for about 10 miles and then blinking oil light and knocking again I said fuck it and drove home another 5 miles like that ,loosing power on up hills had the gas to the floor and I was going 30mph got home and man it was knocking loud ,shut it down called Ryan again and he said it may be a clog oil pick up line , so this is what Im doing dropping the oil and cleaning that pick up line put the oil back in and see what happen , some else said it may be a broken oil pump gear ..dont know ...I may be looking at junking the truck or doing an engine swap or buying a truck and transfer all my offroad gear I really dont know Im pissed .
Need less to say my Pines trip is fucked !

Yes it is

I wouldn't junk it just yet... I would get a used oil pump off one of the parts guys like Randy or Paul. Check the lines and see what happens. These trucks are so cheap now I wouldn't bother swapping engines, to me its easier to buy another and swap off road parts, that's what I plan on doing when the rangie dies.. Just get another and bolt on the good stuff and go

First Im going to drop the oil pan and see that end and clean that pick up line , get the oil back in it and test , as far as just getting another truck my question is thats a gamble too , but if I get another engine and do the head gaskets and any other stuff to make sure is good for a long time atleast I know Im not going to have engine problems or atleast chances are that you are not , now doing this job will cost me as much as a truck so my head is spinning

Chris, That sucks ass!!!!

Those oil pumps are real sensitive, All it takes is a little grime to fuck them up, I sure the tech that did the oil filter change got something on the new filter. I agee with getting a used pump and see what happens, I have one, Its free to you!!!, Also The D1s are getting cheap! I'd find a 95 and swap all the goodies over first, but I see your point on redoing the engine, I wouldnt do that one, I have a 4.0 you can do up. depending on how bad the berings are you might be better off useing a different engine.
