| I purchased a 1987 Defender 90 and need to register it in NJ. Does it have to pass a safety inspection?
Any other things I need to know before registering it?

| Has to pass emissions and safety for 1987 so you will need cats and seat belts or it is over 25 so go antique if you do not drive a lot then no inspection | |

| not sure about NJ but in NY if you have a primary vehicle you can get classic insurance and it's dirt cheap like $200 a year. | |
