Thanks Brian, I had not considered that.

I'm also with you on only buying 4 tires. I've been looking on ebay and craigslist for a cheap 235 or 265 AT or MT to use as a spare. I still have my stock, unused 255 on there.

I'll have a worn out 235/85 I can give you once I get my new tires. That's what I have on my spare. I am not sure when that will happen though...

I found the pizza cutter KM2's for $740 shipped. Thinking about it as my tires are gone and Treadwright is not taking orders for 235/85-16's.

That or put the used KM's on it. A lot cheaper...

damn thats one hell of a deal, where did you find them?

Ebay - can't find them today. Looks like $796 shipped.

price of rubber must have went up. is that for 4?

No, for three. dumbass... Suspect

I didnt know if you were going to do it up and get 5 or be a poser and keep one of those km1's as a spare...

I should have figured you'd pick the poser route cheers

You have it backwards. A poser would put a $200 tire on the back of their truck. Kind of like putting a rack on your truck just to hold lights.

A spare is not a spare if it doesnt match.. Especially if you F that other tire bad and cant salvage it

I think 90% of vehicle manufacturers would disagree with you, or else all cars would come with full size spares. A spare is to get you to where you can get the original fixed, or replaced. A full sized spare tire is more like insurance.

The current spare tire on my truck has never seen the light of day. It's exactly the same as when it left the dealership. It still has the nubs and chalk on the tread.

I personally like having the spare match the set, especially if it's going on an exposed tire carrier. It is good piece of mind and it just looks better too. I would like to buy a spare MTR for the back of my truck, but I think they are discontinued, I didn't get one originally because they were too expensive-$309 a tire! I always carry a tire plug kit along with my compressor in back.

Four KM2's 235/85-16 for $755 shipped

Ebay 220886503672

I have decided to put a set of used KM's that I already own on my truck. May as well use them as $800 is too much for this cheap ass.

I have some tires around if someone needs a spare or a cheap set

5 245/75 MTRs 2 good 2 not so much and 1 almost new $250
and a single 235 85 off brand with a ton of tread $50
and a pair of BFG ATs can't remember the size but maybe 245s
a 265 MTR that holds air and another 265 BFG with decent tread make me an offer
