Anthracite Off Road Park
4100 State Route 125, Shamokin, Pennsylvania 17872
Saturday morning we convoy to Anthracite.
Meet at 9am
Private outing.
This park is not open to the public until next year. We are 1 of 5 groups having an outing at the park year. They wanted us to come to help spread the word about the park to the Land Rover community. To attend this outing you must register. Registration ends at June 1. You may not register after June 1 and no one can attend that hasn't registered. The cost is $5 per truck. The $5 registration fee will be put towards the Convoy 4 Heroes event in September. There are no facilities built at the park yet. No bathrooms, running water etc.. Please plan ahead accordingly. We will have hundreds of miles of trails from easy green trails for stock trucks, all the way up to do double black diamond trails for those who are brave. We will split into groups according to difficulty or trails and head out. Maps are not available yet and trails are being created every day. We will have trail guides to show us the way and get us out if necessary.

We are camping at Camp A While Campgrounds. The cost is $24 per site per night. You can fit about two tents and up to four adults on one site for the $24. Organize your site on the club forum www.nelrc.iftopic.com People will be arriving at the campsite on Thursday night some are staying thru Saturday night as well.

Not sure if I'll make it to either or both yet but I ahve no problem making a donation for the Convoy For Heros. I got a ton of stuff to do to get mine mobile again not sure if I will have the time to get it done.

I am in for any and all trips once my truck is back together which will hopefully be in the next 2-3 weeks including 3 link install.

I didn't get to read it our boss was doing break audits so i had enough time to get food and eat .

In. Looks like June will be busy...this and then the Wilds the following weekend...awesome!

this is the weekend before I leave on vacation so i think I'll be able to make it. Plus whatever i break can get worked on while I'm out of town. This will be pretty fun. looking forward to pooping in the woods with the bears.

Ed - is the plan to stay at Anthracite on Saturday night? Also, can I bring my 4-wheelers? This is where Jensen and I go with our 4-wheelers regularly.

There is a giant coal hill right next to the site. It is pretty cool to see the bikes and quads go up the side of it. Most of them make it, others do not...

If Jensen is coming, i'll being extra matches, and direct him towards your truck. It could only improve it.

You cannot camp at Anthracite on Saturday night.
You cannot bring 4-wheelers this is a Land Rover truck event.

It's illegal to wheel there without permission. I had to get a county permit for the outing. As of next year it will be fully functioning with gates and all like Rausch.

I was thinking instead of camping at Rausch Friday night maybe we will camp at a site half way between both so if people want to camp Friday and Saturday we can. What's everone think of that?

How far to each is half way?
