4x4 parade on Brigantine Beach, NJ - May 19th

I will be there pending getting my truck squared away and when I am traveling for work. We should get the Rovers together, no? Eddie - are you going to make it?

Otherwise we try to set up around Clockwork Orange - can't miss that so-ugly-its-cool truck.

I should make it too, but like I said before 3 rovers in the house all out of comission so when you see a good looking guy in a 4 door red rubicon it's me ......unless it rains

no im not going to make it. i just have too much work to do on both my trucks and i have been working every weekend. that is one of my few free weekends. trying to get the disco ready for the annual and trying to make sure the rangie gets me to work every day.

Can we get a head count and what are you driving in it will be nice if we all parade together and set up on the beach later and I guess we pay the $5 on location?

Cris +wife and 2 kids ...Red rubicon or white RRC GDE (if I can get it half ass done).

Kevin and Jen in my White D2. I was looking to see if I could find an online registration but nothing, anyone else have better luck?

We should also figure out where we are going to meet. I mean AJ's rig will be hard to miss because even a blind gay man would say that colour is loud but just in case.

For what I just read on the facebook page you have to stop in by the Brigantine beach community center to get your beach pass .

Parade route starts at 38th street…Decorate your vehicle because there will be PRIZES. Winners announced at 8pm on the beach at 17th south, followed by a beach bonfire.

Registration fee is $5 to participate… Registration forms available day of event from 10A to 1P. Parade is from 2PM til 5PM… Bonfire is at 8PM

but yes we need a meeting point so we stay together ,just looking at google earth north of 2nd st at the starting point the is a public school 2 blocks away that should have a large parking lot to meet , I should be in town around 10am , dont know about everyone else .

I called them... This is the 1st time to town is doing this. Registration will be on-site only. There will be plenty of sign telling us where to register.

I plan to bring the kids this time. Would like to catch up with everyone, but dont expect me there "on-time"

Different note, has anyone gotten Island Beach State Park 4x4 permit? Thinking about getting one for this year. Make it easier to go to beach w/ kids w/o hauling all their craps on cart... Let the truck do the work :-)

Small change of vehicle in my case , coulnt finish the RRC , and the dealer still holds hostage my rubicon so I'll be driving in my 97' Disco XD so look for a yellow disco I didnt wanted to take it because I bought back to stock and I really dont like the stock look but oohh well I guess is the only thing left I got .

lol thatd because the accord and Prius won't make it on the sand ,and the second GDE doesn't have the abs pump installed i

Well this sucks, i was looking so forward to this. I can't go as i won't be home yet. I'm leaving school now, but even if i drive straight through i wouldn't get home till sunday morning. I got kept at school do to some extra tech that of course didn't work and took all week to set up. So i guess you guys will have to find a new rig to set as a meeting point. I was looking so forward to this too.

Fuckkkkkkk!!!!!!!! I only made it 20 miles from my house and the disco develop the death shake and speeds above 50 mph so I had to crawl back to the house just my ducking luck

For those that went how was it?

It was so much fun. I was literally the only Land Rover in the parade and it was one massive wrangler circle jerk.

HAHA all this talk and no one else from the forum went? I had to pick up parts saturday morning from paul grant and had to DJ sat night otherwise i would have went.

Sam went, but he was late and missed the parade. I didn't see him on the beach unfortunately otherwise I would have said hi.

thats what happen when i took the kids out. they have no concept of schedule. at least they saw lots of "giant trucks" and had lots of fun...
