Friday night camping. Book online is easiest. We are booking the Green Acres Field (group site) for $22 for the night. Use the key word ‘Land Rover’ when booking to get the group site and rate.


Dinner - The Hole in the Hill Bar & Grill - 7pm

Saturday (Day 1)
Start - The Vermont Country Store (9:00am)
1292 Rockingham Road, Rockingham, Vermont 05101
We will meet at 9:00am the store open at 9:00am. We will plan to depart at (9:30)
Lunch will be on the trail, please bring food and beverages.
Dinner will be at camp. Please bring food and beverages.
Primitive Camping.

Sunday (Day 2)
Lunch at a pizza joint in Bethel, VT.
Dinner at Camp please bring food and drinks.  
Primitive Camping.

Monday (Day 3)
(Transport Day)

Get home safe!

Please make sure you have a tow strap and front and rear recovery points. Make sure you have a full size spare tire. Highly recommend a CB radio to keep in contact when on the trail. Primitive camping means you need a shovel and toilet paper. =) Any problems or questions shoot me a PM

I won't be able to make it, because that will be in or around the time we'll be closing on our new house. Currently we close 09/13 but that might change depending.

I am absolutely 100% no bs in for this one.   Calendar is blocked off, wife has been made fully aware, and no work trips planned (and won't be)

And even if god forbid something tragic were to happen to the cruiser (haha. That's funny, a yota breaking down), I'll take my brand new taco instead Smile

O yea.... Mack the adventure dog will probably be joining as well

I dont know much night driving Ed has planned, maybe I should put the Hella 3000's on my bumper.
I think they worked at some point in time.
I have no other aux lighting on my truck, they usually get broken.

If I can get my truck reliable in the next month (one final issue I'm chasing, I think), I may be able to pull it off. Looks like I can go up after work Friday and get there late, and bail Sunday night to get home by midnightish, and not have to take time off work.

Anyone want to extend this trip a little longer? Either a few days before/after in VT/NH or go up a bit early to Maine and hit this on the way down?

I don't think 2-3 days is gonna be a enough to satisfy my itch

I kind of like that it's a compact expedition...and I can't pull off anything longer with my autumn plans.

Ed, what kind of/difficulty terrain are we looking at? Trying to figure out what work to focus on the next month on the truck.

you will be fine as is. its varied from country dirt roads, to greens to some blues. nothing you can't handle with a spotter and a stock truck and a recovery point

Stock height vehicles may have some ground clearance issues on some sections of the trails.
The majority will be rough dirt roads and mud if it keeps raining like it has been. Uphill's might be a bigger problem for all of us. I am also concerned about water depth on a couple of the trails I suggested to Ed.
A week of dry weather beforehand would be awesome.
