I've never had to air down my 19" tires, I am curious to see what I will set them to?? I run about 8-9 psi in my 37" Pit Bull Rockers on my CJ7.......12 psi on the street. Just curious on the Pit Bulls, Ive been told that the 37"s actually measure 35" on the truck is that true? I would really like to know before I drop a ton of money on a set of tires I cant fit.

Just curious on the Pit Bulls, Ive been told that the 37"s actually measure 35" on the truck is that true? I would really like to know before I drop a ton of money on a set of tires I cant fit. I believe mine measured pretty true to size in both width and height when new. I will take a picture of them next to a 35x16" Bogger tomorrow. I have had them on my CJ for over five years now, best set of tires I've had. They are about to be retired though. I just measured the rockers....35.5" tall by 14" wide on a 10" wide wheel, but mine are old with low tread. They look monstrous for some reason, very round and bulgy. My Boggers only measured 14" wide on a 10" wide wheel, even though they are marked a 16" wide tire. Here is a pic of them I had. -Sorry to get off topic-

| Cool, thanks for measuring them. Guess I'll have to do some more measuring and see if I can clear 37s. Are those the Bias or Radials? I think thats definately gonna be my next set of tires.

u have a bigger lift than me! lol.... I'll run with the other group but I'll need spotting. I talked to my manager today he has me on stand by for next Friday which means if our volume is light I can get the day off. I only work up the road so I could be there around 12:00-12:15 if someone could meet me at the gate.

If we're not in with one of the NELRC groups there will be 3 or 4 trucks from the FPLRG that he can run with. We'll just need to make sure we find someone who has been to RC before... - Dave C.

| Brian S, Jake, Dave Schramm, Dave K., Dave Shapiro
then me, Fodge, Stan, Billy, Goose, JT
then Brian F, Sam, Mike, Kerry, Bob
That's how it should look. something like that, then that leaves you Dave C to choose your difficulty!

Hmmm...OK...wonder if I can lure Kerry to the dark side (or at least to the blue group )...the most glaring things my truck is missing are probably a winch and a tank skid...he's even better set up yet with Brett's old truck...

| i think he should start in the greens, he sounded pretty hesitant about even going. Brian is going to do some greens Saturday morning and then when they all realize that their trucks are beasts and can handle more they Brian will lead them into some blues after the rock competition at lunch. | |

I think I posted a response to your thread over on LRO, but had another thought...if you go with the RN bolt on, I'd suggest getting a short piece of cable and tethering it to the truck. Knocking it loose on a trail would, having it come off later on the road would be even worse...

I think everyone that has a bolt on has either lost theres on a trail or its come loose.

Dana has a bolt on front and wheels damn hard and never lost it. I never lost mine and it has been hit hard and has some rock rash. You guys just need to set down your purses and tighten that bitch down.

| Jeez! I get busy for a few days and the whole forum is running rampant! Bolt on diff guards can fall off, I recommend getting them tacked on. That is what I am running on my rear. Don't bother with the cable. When it falls off it will get stuck behind the panhard bar. Unless you are like Fodge and do things to a stock truck nobody has business doing. Looking forward to meeting the FPLRC folks! There is a guy in that club with a white disco, another Dave perhaps? Is he coming? durt d1ver - are you gonna bring that antenna for me? I am trying to have the rest of the system ready by then. Looks like I am leading the team into the blacks. That makes since I think the only black I ran I got a full 30 feet in before I pretzeled my drag link and I never finished the trail - I just backed out with my tail between my legs. I got my exhaust leak fixed (I fully expect that will change at RotR), mounted my antenna mount and put on a "new" fan. I do have to snip off a half inch of bad hose from my power steering pump return hose so I am not sure if I can make it... Plan right now is to come home Friday night and snuggle with Jake Saturday night. | |
