F'n phone strikes again "PLAY TAXI". thank god Dave hasn't been on he would have a field day with that. I let her drive it once she was all over the road she is used to her small car

I should be a go, if it's real shitty on the roads I may reconsider.......as much of a pussy excuse that is when having a LR.

My friend was interested in going with his lifted with-too-much-crap-on-it-Jeep Grand Cherokee, but I wanted to see if it was cool with people rather then just showing up with a non-Rover. Let me know if it's cool, no big deal if not.

haha hell ya man thats cool the more the merrier. The road has bad parts mostly just like play areas. But you can make it up and down the road itself no problems. JT made it to the turn around and back with AT tires. Only part he had to make multiple runs at was the hill on the way out.

Having 4 tires on the ground would have helped. I don't think I aired down either.

Yea either long travel shocks to have all 4 on the ground or lockers. I vote lockers on and you were runningon regular tire pressure.. I should have a set of staun deflators arriving in the mail tomorrow or Friday

does his truck have lockers? there are some fun hills he can try to climb.

You will be fine my friend the harder parts are like blues at Rausch. None of the rocks got close to JT sills only have to watch out for your diffs in some areas.

He's got something in there but I'm not sure they work properly. It's one of those 98 5.9L Grands, it's not fancy anymore though, we spray bombed it flat khaki. It ended up on its roof in a Hooters parking lot one day.............yes, it's a funny story and I will never let him live it down.

haha nice! cant wait to hear that story! My oil light keeps coming on spradically but I think it's related to the switch i had to "fix" looks like I have to add that to my list. Oh and new engine mounts wont be here till saturday soooo it might be an interesting adventure..

Trying donuts in a lifted all wheel drive Jeep doesn't work. Yes, beer was involved.....and possibly some greasy chicken wing fingers on the wheel didn't help.

I have a clunking noise that occurs occasionally when taking off from a stop. I don't think it's the driveshaft...if that made this particular noise it would have blew out a while ago. Sounds like it's coming from front left axle. Hopefully you/we won't have any issues.

Another friend may get wind of this trip and want to go in his high-dollar-parts 4dr Wrangler. If there is room and it's cool, I don't want to step on any toes. They are good dudes, guy with 4dr is actually looking into getting a Discovery too.

Yea man you can bring whoever. Thats awesome is there a video of this on youtube? Have you see the wrangler that rolls trying to do the same thing.

I drove my truck for a bit today. Pulled the oil cap and found some goey signs of water in my oil. I am hoping it is only shit just flushing its self out - we will see.

Temps have been good, oil light flickered some more so I went and bought a harbor freight oil pressure tester in case it comes back on. We should be fine, I wish I had a plug for my airbox so I could finish this snorkel.

Does it look a little like chocolate milk? What kind of plug do you need for snorkel?

The D1's have this horn thing that comes out of the airbox it pulls out and then there is a 70MM hole that it notched.

it didnt looks like chocolate milk just like some goey left overs, we will see what comes of it when I actually put some miles on it. I put the old 4.0 on the stand and it will probably be a 4.6 by middle of next week lol

Some sheet metal, pop rivets, drill, silicone maybe?? I'm not sure what the box looks like though, should be similiar to mine I guess.

Piece of old bumper it is! Good suggestion going to sand it later but you get the idea. Didnt do too bad of a job for cutting it out with a pocket knife lol Some JB weld and we are good to go

I had to drop my pan and clean it out a long with my oil pick up cause my oil light kept coming on. Going to be changing the oil often on this truck for the first 100000 miles.... My oil light is OFF but I am not bragging. I thought I was going to have to drop off for tomorrow...

Nope I am a taxi between 9:30 and 5:45 she threw the sales pitch I used to sell her on it. "a truck to get back and forth from work in the winter" also its not a toy.
