FPLRG Winter Run 2/11/2012 New Florence, PA

Hey guys,

If anyone is out toward Southwestern PA and would like to get a little mud on the tires this weekend, the FPLRG is going out wheeling this Saturday, February 11th.

The rally point is the Bi-Lo parking lot in New Florence, PA at 9:00 AM. (See link to map below.)

Note: Despite the apathy in the FPLRG thread (we have a lot of broken Series trucks in the group right now) we'll be holding this event as long as we have 4 or more trucks going.

Oh, BTW, we're a pretty kid friendly bunch, just remember to bring a lunch for one of our stops on along the trail, so I'll warn everyone bringing children to hide them if Dave comes out here...

Thanks for sharing Dave! Wish I could make it but can't for any number of reasons - let the children roam free. As mentioned, please share pics so we can see what is happening in the woods out there. Give us a bit more heads-up next time!

That's OUR part of the state, Carr is out west.

And Jake IS Amish for sure. He was all shaved down in January and fully bearded again last weekend - just like a fucking Chia-pet...

Yeah, I guess Jake does qualify as west of you guys.

We'll see how (or even if) it goes...it should be fun if we get the 'winter weather' that's being predicted...otherwise we're looking at a stinky muddy mess.

While SWPA is far less developed than the eastern half of the state, there are only a limited number of good places to wheel and many of those are only semi-legal.

Turnout was a little light...only 3 trucks this year, but we had a great time. There were more trails here than we could possibly have explored in a single day. Below is a link to the pics one of the other guys took.
