| I would love to look through the 17 pages of banter for an answer to this, but I'm lazy.
Check on RC website as well to no avail.
Are pets allowed? I'm having work done on my house and leaving the dog to get in the contractors way all day Friday would just be mean.
I'm hoping I can bring the beast (on a leash obviously). Called RC but the office is closed till Friday..which point would be too late.
Edit: nevermind... a site search didn't pull anything up but a google search did:
Dogs are welcome. Clean-up after them if they make a mess in areas where people will be walking or setting up camp. Dogs should be kept on a leash at all times in the parking/camping areas. EXCEPTION: Dogs are NOT allowed in the competition areas during competitions.

| SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT!!!!
Had two trucks both crap out on us this morning. If I can't fix one of them I may be out. I can't go breaking my only reliably running vehicle (the D2).
The wife's Toyota's alternator died last night, and it looks like her D1's alternator or starter may have shit the bed this morning. I'll still be there if I can get the D1 fixed in time, but it's looking like I may not show up until tomorrow night...

I'm just hoping it's the starter. I have a replacement sitting in the back seat. If it's the alternator, I think I'm screwed...even if I can switch the pulley, I don't think the one on my '95 parts truck is any good either...

| I thought it was usually pretty easy to tell if it's your alternator, with a dead tachometer before it shits (and of course the whining sound leading up to it). If so, replace it with one from Action Alternators. In the mean time you can probably just snag one out of a parts yard, or if you know any Caterpillar places near you their 140 amp is the same Magnetti Marelli usually, depending on the model. Have you tried hitting the shit out of the starter with a big ass hammer while someone cranks away? Always glad I have a manual for when the starter breaks! Hopefully it's something even easier like the ignition switch, which seems to happen when the weather heats up real quick. | |

| Yeah, tried hitting the starter...no luck. I'm going to try to catch it in gear shortly, get it into my driveway, then swap the starter while the wife take the alternator to be tested. If it's bad, I'll try to snag the one out of my '95 parts truck later this evening... | |

Yeah, my biggest concern is getting it off without destroying the mounting bolts.

Yeah, my biggest concern is getting it off without destroying the mounting bolts. All you need is one 20" long extension and a swivel. It's not hard especially if it is lubricated well with some engine oil - just make sure the allen hole is cleaned out enough before you start crankin on it. My guess is that the little wheel (dont know the technical tern) either broke or is seized.

| If your starter is in the same location as on the D90s, a few of us have found it easier to remove a spark plug or two up top, and to reach down from the top to access the top bolt on the starter. | |

Oh yea thats what the extension is for you can reach right thru the exhaust manifold with it. You shouldnt need to remove any spark plugs - or atleast I didnt have to...
