What's the weather usually like?

Warm day cool nite? Hot and hot?

it's hard to say, but being a local I'd say be prepared for hot humid. The last few days it's been cool at night, but going into this week we are expected to hit 90's. So plan to bring water and stay hydrated, and also bug spray mosquitoes are a pita lately.

I'm def in for Friday/Saturday, was thinking of coming up Thursday night depending on what everyone else is doing.

I wonder how the "Earth Day" campground is going to like an extra gallon or two of oil in its soil. If the owner comes out in a floppy leather, hippy hat and a Jesus shirt - I'm outta there...

this is what we need to know, thursday nite or friday morning?I am working in va this week and will be back in n.j. with 2 days to prep rover

we just need to know when to come up, working in va. this week so when i return only gonna have like 2 days to prep rover

Get there when you get there. People will be coming and going all weekend.

im still trying to figure out if im heading out Thursday night or early friday morning. also trying to figure out who i am bringing to fill my pass seat. might my buddy mike or my dad.

bringing wife and son again, would bring dad but if we break i would never hear the end of it

im like 4.25 hours from rausch. lol

SO who is coming when? I'm between coming Thursday night and coming Friday morning. I'll be leaving Saturday night. I'm taking it easy on blues and greens as i have no armor underneath and it's my first time out in this truck.

I'll most likely show up Saturday morning but might try and swing Friday night.

I'll be heading down Thursday night as long as my fan clutch gets here on time.

We are still undecided Thurs or fri

i run a chevy s10 fan and clutch on mine just cut 1" off each blade, i had bought a new rover one from atlantic british didn't last a year

Thanks Tom but If the one I'm getting from rock auto fails in going to an aluminum radiator with electric fans.

I went to the aluminum with plastic bowels, going to do electrics eventualy

Does well does it work? Tom

rad seems fine been told by a member they are trash and the bowels will break, i have yet to see a single complaint on 5 rover boards i belong to so guess time will tell mine was like 220 ish shipped on ebay direct perfect fit, with the fan I use and a 180/185? stant stat on normal days with no a/c it can run as cool as 173* on the ultra gauge

last week we drove to va in 97* weather with both front and rear a/c on it ran like 187/ 193* setting still it does still creep up 201/203 at idle with a/c on in 97* temps

I also in past year or 2 did head gaskets and hoses, expansion cap, none of
those helped

so at this point the rad is perfect it is just having enough air moving at idle with a/c on

a/c off i am fine any temp so guess rausch will be my big test since we do only what I consider lite trail riding, yes thats my d1 half under water I consider that lite trail riding

think we need name tags with user names and real names for club stuff

Thanks Tom ilk have to check it out. So I was wandering if any of you guys use two way radios when on the trails? When I was going there with out groups we brought radios so the lead vehicle knows if anyone falls behind.
