I have Randy bringing me a spare rim and some other stuff i need. Jake if you need anything from him or Justin let one of us know.

I dont think you even have to have a windshield to go wheeling at rausch.. I think your supposed to it registered and insured but from what we saw last time I doubt it.

Nope still trying to figure out why it's overheating.

Yeah...I'm a newbie so I had to ask. Kind of like showing up at the ROVERSclub event without CDL and not making it through the first course. Luckily I got the CDL fixed with only missing one course so I wasn't dead last at the end of the day. It's hard to explain to your 10 year old son that his dad is a dumbass and you will not be "wheeling" today...

OK, so what do I NEED to show up at Rausch and be relatively self sufficient?

I have a winch, recovery points front and rear, shovel/ax/pick tool, not much else. I don't want to be a burden but I don't want to buy everything available.

Just get yourself a big ass cooler and stuff it full of food and beverages and you should be good.

Depending on who you ride with you may or may not need all the recovery stuff. It's a lot of rock and hills. You will need your e brake and a good spotter.

I've driven this course about 6 times totally stock. I still dont have CDL so you're ahead of the game there. My first time through i had a stock truck and 3 Amigos laughing at me the whole way. No DHC, no ABS, no TC. Just a bunch of guts (or stupidity, depending on your point of view). I had the Amigo which reset everything enough to get me out of trouble before the Amigos showed back up. Did the shuttle vale repair and its been good to go since. Ran the Pine Barrens last a couple of weeks ago with just MT's, the only upgrade I've done since shedding the 18" street wheels. what a major difference.

You can run a lot of Rausch with stock. No worries. Plenty of bail out trails for the wicked stuff. just go along, do what you feel like doing and have fun. This is a great group to run with. They will encourage you when you can make it through and won't chaffe your ass when you go around stuff. A totally respectful group.. Just show up and do what you feel like and enjoy the ride. All you have to remember is that I have given them all plenty of fodder to distract them from you. I've blown a tire in lake Christy, almost had the truck roll on me while changing the tire, bailed on winch hill, got lost for three hours at the Pine Barrens. Trust me, you have nothing to worry about. Just bring 12 year old scotch for the fire late night.
