Robesonia Fall Trials - Oct 20/21

It wasn't posted yet so I thought I would put it out.

From Mike (ROVERS president):
work day oct 13,14. david gave the ok if you want to spend the night to help you may. I have to work those weekend dates. I told lyle to take it easy on the trails since there will be no parental supervision. Event Oct.20th will be the novice running. Breakfast will be coffee and donuts from DD. Cookout for lunch bratts,hot dogs, burgers,ect. I have stephen manning the grill. Dinner will be potluck please bring something that night. Sunday the 21st Advance will run, breakfast bring your own but coffee and some little things will be down at the house. Lunch Tonys pizza. Got the ok from David if you want to camp out Friday,Saturday,Sunday you may. Then you can take your time getting home instead of late Sunday night. http://roversclub.org/html/events.html click on Robesoina: print,fill out and mail. I will be taking vacation time 15th to 22nd to get eveything set up. PLEASE WE NEED AS MUCH HELP AS POSSIBLE TO GET THE TRAILS SET UP.

Forget the mailing in of the registration (mail??), you can register that day.

Cool event, awesome, free camping, different kind of wheeling and is challenging, I am likely going up Saturday night after Jensen's football game to camp and start Sunday fresh on premises.

Well I should be there for both weekends unless my G/F changes her mind but I dont think she wont she felt bad for me watching facebook and youtube for pix and videos of Conclave

its a really good event and yes it is in Robesonia, PA.

Lyle is making the advanced course crazier then ever, just for Dave on Sunday.

Did anyone else's Trials sticker turn to shit? All the colors ran on mine.

Not complaining as the stickers were free but I had been considering some of his others stickers he was selling. HAD been...

Nope...mine is fine.

Hey this seems like a ton of fun I'm down for it. I'll request off for those days now. I'll just register that day as well... why mail it haha, no one uses snail mail. But anyway whats up with the work days on the 12th - 14th? Do they need help setting up this even or something and i'd be willing help, but i can only do saturday (got some err.. legal stuff to do) on the 14th. Who else is going to this event?

Sweet! Good fun. I am going to try and make it for a set up day as well. Lyle (the land owner's son) and Mike do most of it by themselves. It is just too much. Set up is supposed to be a lot of fun as you get to make up the courses and play around.

There is usually a good showing and you can meet a lot of non-NELRC guys. Trevor from Rover Lab and Randy from Rover Bones will be there. Good guys to know (despite Randy being Canadian).

Bring ear plugs for the small arms firing if you camp Saturday night...

I think I can go Saturday. I will have to check to be sure...

I wish I could make it. The spring trials was a blast and actually very educational.

Sadly I'm working all night the morning of the 14th, and the weekend of the 20th is my wedding anniversary so the wife is make demands that I stay close to home...

Looks like I am in for Saturday as a work day.

Same here, any idea what time is good to get there? Or is it more like a help is good whenever you can get here sort of thing?

Help is needed whenever you can provide it. I am thinking I will get there around 9 or 10

sounds good to me, i was shooting for 9ish myself. Should i contact anyone, cause if not i'm content with just showing up and driving to the house with all the land rovers at it haha

pm me and I will give you my cell number. It is a Rover friendly place and the Rovers may well be out in the woods...

Dave pretty much summed it up. I posted on D-90 under Hitting the Trail as well; there are links to the waivers as well as directions if one wanted to not waste valuable social time/ parking lot repairs filling out paperwork the day of the event.

and, no, there is no guilt in showing up just for the event. I've been doing this twice a year for 10+ years and am not sure I've ever been to a work day! (Huh, now that I re-read my post, I feel guilty.) still, not going to make it to the work weekend this year either.

I am out for Saturday work day working late Friday night. I'll be down Sunday.
