| GREAT day setting up yesterday! Jensen drove the first half of the day to set up trails (no damage either!). AJ came from Philly in a big, gay, orange D2 with his "life mate" Alex. Not that there's anything wrong with that... Kerry was there with some homo's old truck and Dave from Lebanon was there his D2. Lyle did not have his Series running as his points were shot. So...the courses are Disco friendly. After trail set up was a bit of shooting. Jensen (thanks to Tom and Lyle) got to shoot about 6 different, very cool guns - thanks guys. I shot a 45 Magnum and...well let's just say it didn't work anymore after I was done with it. (p.s. I got hit TWO places on my forehead, only one was bleeding though). Thanks to Dave for providing the venue and to Lyle for organizing things. | |

hahahaha, yea yea. I will say though it was great meeting everyone, and seeing what to look forward to this weekend. Also enjoyed the gun expo afterwards, even if i didn't shoot anything, still a ton of fun. Should be a fun weekend to come.

| Hey guys, so bad news. Looks like i won't be able to make it this weekend. I have to work on saturday and being my truck is pretty stock the 'advanced' sections might be a bit to tough for my truck right now. Having a cracked steering box doesn't help, i'm trying to drag it out as long as i can before it finally goes (or until i find a deal on a replacement). I've already taken off for ROTR, so i'll definitely be there and as i've said before hopefully i will have some sliders by then and depending on how much i work i may or may not have my lift pieced together and installed. Time will tell. But anyway had a blast last weekend, so i may show up sunday, i'm still undecided, so we will see. | |

there will be plenty of stock trucks at ROTR including some LR3's. so even if you dont get ur lift in you will be fine. also if you want a steering box delivered get in touch with Randy he will be at ROTR and you can pick it up from him.

| And I could bring those springs if you're still interested. How did you crack a steering box? Can't say I've ever seen that! | |

Well its leaking really bad from somewhere. I'm planning on pulling off that plastic guard after class and locating exactly where its leaking from, but there is a pretty steady leak. I have had to refill my power steering fluid 2-3 times this month alone and i can see the fluid dripping down off the arm of the steering box. And sorry, i've been swamped lately with work and keep forgetting stuff (i blame it on lack of organization) but which springs are you talking about?

It COULD be a seal on the box but a leak anywhere in that system tends to collect on the box. I chased my leak for a year before I got it plugged up. First thing is to tighten all the connections and check that your reservoir is not cracked. I have a spare reservoir I can bring.

| I have a full set of OME 777 and 781 with about 50 miles on them; you replied to my ad on Dweeb. The D2's are notorious for blowing out the gasket on the rear of the pump, dropping the fluid all over the left front corner of the engine, the steering box, the hoses, the track rod. I've got a customer who rebuilds them- it's part of his profession- and we've enjoyed great success with them, if that what it turns out to be. | |

I never got a chance to check it out over the weekend got swamped with work. But hopefully i can dig out some time to check it out this week. Trevor what you just described is exactly what i'm looking at when i get under the truck, so i will look into that and hope that could be it. Seems cheaper then a whole new unit
