I'm going to be the chef de cuisine on this trip. We will be having breakfast and dinners at camp. Lunches and snacks you will be on your own. I will post some menu options up for feedback today or tomorrow! Ohh thats nice yeah I was planning in leaving early but the graduation fuck it up , how many adults are we?? Any kids ?? As of now it sounds like there are no kids and just solo drivers ( i think). so my estimate is between 3-7 people. the maybe's are Cris, Billy, Don and Steve H. Confirmed are Kevin, Brian and myself.

| Hey guys - I know I've been MIA for some time, mainly b/c I sold the defender and have been building up my new truck Not a Land Rover but I think it should be good for this trip none-the less Would like to join if you still have room on this trip Heres a pic from this past weeks camping/ trip. Did 1450 miles up and down the coast, so I'm confident it will be up for this trip as well. Should have a few more goodies bolted on by then too. I'm sure the trip will be mostly logging roads anyways. | |

yeah we talked about it a few times. From what I have read it's more severe in southern Maine and not so bad up North. Right now is peak season, but it fades away quickly as June progresses so it shouldn't be all that bad. I am however packing 40% DEET spray also some Sawyer Premium Permethrin Clothing Spray

| I picked up some 98% DEET. the flies should be on the decline when where there. I've also been looking into the route after the trains. I originally thought of must heading east, but that gives us a wicked long ride home. I'm trying to figure out a good way south of then original planned route, which will cut a few hours off our trek, but leave us within the woods. | |

| We should also swap cell numbers if one of us runs into any problems on the way there help could be just a few miles in front or behind you but we need to know that you are in trouble so we know to stop or pull a U turn . | |

| i have bigger problems then bug spray. white smoke everywhere as coolant burned like crazy on the way to work. pulled off as soon as I could which was all of 25 feet. Thinking it's the head gaskets, which kind of suprised me because it was my understanding they were done at IAS in Easton around 100,000 and im only at 115k. Needless to say i towed it to my mechanic who is going to pressure test it and get back to me. Then i will make the decision what to do next, rebuild the 3.9, pick up a 4.6 rebuild that and drop it in, or buy a d1 and swap the lift, rims and tires and start again. I might be riding bitch to Maine. two trips in a row riding bitch.. fuck my life. | |

Sucks dude, although on the bright side you'll get some killer photos now, hopefully it's not the head gasket. I'll probably head up on Friday, with me being on my own now at work it's almost impossible to get time off.

| a positive twist in today's events. I dropped off Jackie's Subaru to the dealer, she has had a growing hole in a piece of flex pipe attached to one of the cat's. finally it set off the CEL with an o2 code we brought it up and the code it was reading wasn't covered under the exhaust warranty. i BS'd with the dude who had a pic of himself on a quad off-road and told him about our club and site, he hooked me up and put in the system it was a different code that was covered under warranty, called me today told me it will be taken care of at no cost... thank fuck. that piece of exhaust and cat are $900 aftermarket. my mechanic had told me he refused to do it becuase he wanted the dealer to do it. needless to say her car will be sorted, my truck isn't just yet. I'm leaning towards rebuilding the 3.9 just because money is tight and I don't know if i have money to splurge on a 4.6 and then rebuilding that. I already sorted the brakes and steering on the rangie so if i redo all those damn gaskets in the HG kit, might as well do the timing chain since mine was shot and fucked the idle up, and while im there put a new water pump, oil pump and alternator in. not much that could go wrong after all that.... knock on aluminum
what time are you heading up Kevin?
