Been home for a while , had a great time and looking forward for the next trip , the only thing I got is a massive power steering leak , the hose is pissing liquid like crazy and used 3 bottles of fluid in 24 hours.

It was another causeway north of the one we crossed earlier saturday. The spillway and bridge were washed out. To get across it, we would have had to cut down trees and build a bridge. We did find some nice spots following the lake north back towards the pole line.

Yea it's not to late to do one either. Sounds like a project that takes quite a bit of time to get it 100%

Yea man that is really awesome!
How did the electrical stuff work out? Your truck a 94 or 95? Wondering if this would be a nightmare with a newer truck electrical wise with all the sensors and what not
The bolt holes from the bell housing line up with the ZF? I'm guessing you either used the rover flywheel/torque converter combo or the Mercedes bolted up? besides trimming the bell housing looks like it was pretty straight forward.
How is the power on the road?
I am extremely jealous!

My engine never stopped or stalled I don't have the torque of the diez but it was the tire size that doomed me. It was just rutted out.

Ed you got it all wrong, I didn't do this to "show you up". you only proved at that time that the hole was worth while. That's why I went in... and out
Diesel made a difference only after the first attempt, wet v8 has no power, me and you proved that LAST TIME OUT, as I recall you puled me out of that shit.

That is true.I. got high center in a hole half as deep as the one Ed got stuck in with 33's and lockers. That being said 38's and a diesel with lockers makes a big difference.

Yup tires, lockers, gears will only get you in deeper shit!
And the diesel engine? Better chance of getting thru for sure
