Yea and you you know you trust your rig when you're wife and newborn are about to enter a water hole of unknown depth and you tell her while taping it "just go"! If I had the funds and time I would do a diesel.

Ed you got it all wrong, I didn't do this to "show you up". you only proved at that time that the hole was worth while. That's why I went in... and out Very Happy

Diesel made a difference only after the first attempt, wet v8 has no power, me and you proved that LAST TIME OUT, as I recall you puled me out of that shit.

i was only kidding. i didnt stand a chance in that hole with my CDL unlocked by the time i got stuck it was too late i was already high centered.

i learned a valuable lesson in that hole. synth line will soak up water and freeze on the winch drum into a solid block of ice. it was good for that one pull but after a night of being wet it was rendered useless on Sunday. i couldnt get the gear to disengage i think there was water in it and then i couldnt let the motor let the line out because it was just a frozen block of ice. the solenoid sparked and gave up and used a strap.

Ed, Hope we can do it again soon. btw, is it possible for you send me the GPS position coordinate of the two major water crossing we went through? I am trying to map out all the deep water cross (anything over 2 feet) on my GPS. I go to the pine w/ my friends with "less capable" vehicle. Those are areas I always try to avoid unless going in bigger group.

Looks like a good trip have to make down there sometime when its isn't freezing.

I counted 13 trucks at one point.

It was a great trip, very cold but always a good time wheeling with everyone.
