Also, talk to Tracy, considering he only lives like 25 minutes south of you, I'm sure he has ideas on where to go wheeling in the area.

| Am I gonna have to build an RTI ramp for you guys??? I already have one in the plans as soon as I get cought up on some bills. I have build plans for 20*, 23*, and 40*. I was gonna go with 23* since my rear tire is on a 20* before it lifts. A 40* is cool but its a lot tougher to climb and you guys with ARB bumpers mite not have the aproach angle with out hitting the ramp first. Guys let me know if you want one I'll start getting the steel as I get the extra money. | |

My buddy goes to the scrap yard and buys nice steel for scrap prices. I will see where he gets it...

| Yup itll have its own axle to make it portable, at least thats the plans I have. Depends on how I do the axle but the ramp itself (unless Dave can hook me up with some scrap) should be around 250-300 in materials. The plans for the axle setup I have was in the $400 (new axle and tires, im sure i can find used stuff) area but it was way overdone. I was thinking of getting a small trailer axle and just remove the tires to use it witch would make it cheaper and easier to build. I was just online looking at others I can make an adjustable one also and it wasnt anymore expensive just a few more welds and a few more bolts. | |

cool good deal. I think removing tires with smal axle is a good idea. Make the hitch removable and what not.

| a show and shine? my truck hasn't been washed in over a year. the clear coat is coming off in pringle size pieces and it smells of rotting lamb carcas under the bonnet.
We could def do a spring BBQ. Maybe a Saturday part swap and BBQ and you crazy bastards that want to drive up ramps can do that. Then Sunday maybe we go wheeling or maybe we don't.
I'm also working on a bigger trip up to Mettowee for late Spring.

More or less heres what Im gonna end up building: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f27/building-rti-ramp-471652/And I will probably go 30* from what I'm reading on the web. It doesnt really matter the angle mutch as long as everything is measured properly a 1000 score is a 1000 score no matter what angle it is. I dont think I'll do the rungs like whats pictured just to save weight time and material I'll use some heavy expanded metal or wood. If anyone has materials they want to help out with it would be apreciated or know where I can find a small axle that would be great too! Im all into this project I just picked up some LED lights for it at the truck stop for it

I'm down with a pig roast. This sounds like a blast! Then we can try to roll our trucks off the ramp

cool good deal. I think removing tires with smal axle is a good idea. Make the hitch removable and what not. I think these things are over-built. You could make a folding/adjustable one from aluminum. You could fold it and two guys could pick it up easily. This way you do not have a trailer that needs to be/should be registered. Just throw it in a pick up or on a utility trailer. Even if you had to break it down to remove the out-riggers, it would just be a few minutes...

| Dave I do agree most are over built but you never know when some drunk asshole tries to see what his RTI score of his 17,000 pound Freightliner is. Honestly I would do aluminum but I have no way of welding it and I just plane hate working with it. Plus its a lot more expense. I have a few trailer tags, title, and VIN plates I can put on it so thats no big deal to me. | |

Which one of us drunk assholes owns a 17k lb freightliner? Are you only building this so you can score your big rig?

Are you only building this so you can score your big rig? No but I damn near want to now!! 290" wheelbase and it mite only make it 1 foot up the ramp before the other side lifts LOL. Seriously I would build it so it would be strong enough for a full size pickup.

We're not whining, we are enjoying Landy ownership!
Are all we going to be at Robesonia? What's up ladies! Finally crawling out of the annual black hole better known as budget planning season. Really need to figure out how to post from my iPad. It's all i take when i travel and I get redirected to the mobile version of the site and you can't post on the friggin thing.
I'm still planning on Robesonia. Will be good to see the gang assembled for another weekend of debauchery and destruction. Is Ed the only one that's not coming out? Fodge you have plans to get that new t-case in? Plans? Yeah, I got lots of plans. Actually, I have more plans than money. I have so many plans I have plans for my plans. Would love to get it in ASAP. Need a lift, a small lift to remove and replace the TC, and a 2004 shifter. Randy said he could get me one for $400. That's a lot of bones. Hoping to find a sucker that doesn't realize how much they're worth and steal it for $50-100.

You've got more plans than money and so many plans you have plans of them? You're starting to sound like me! DUDE- Stop playing yourself. If I were you I would go to a bunch of pick and pull junk yard and well if you end up with a D1 shifter it's better than nothing. You will end up paying $25 for the shifter lever when all is said and done. I will help you install it. For $350 you could have the bad ass Great Basin Rovers cdl lever http://www.greatbasinrovers.com/cs_drivetrain_transfer%20case.html#cdl
