| Yeah I see me making one myself after looking at the design, maybe just a little different to fit in that new bumper. | |

| Heres about the best way I found to mount a winch on this bumper so far Yeah once I put my lights on it theres not much room left on the top without removing the grill, but ive got some Ideas to put it underneith similar to the DAP mount. | |

| Yup its a Rockstar bumper, the recovery points are inline with the frame mounting points. I emailed them and they will sell me the winch mounting plate guess I'm going to have to cut my grill up. Every way I looked at mounting it made the clutch handle almost impossible to get access to. I guess I'm gonna have to decide what winch I'm putting on it and bite the bullet and cut away. From what he showed me its similar to the DAP mount but upside down, the winch goes above the bumper instead of below. | |

| its good though that bumper won't inhibit approach angles at all and with the winch recessed it's even better. besides im sure you can come up with some kick ass custom grill to surround the winch. what winch are you going to put on it? and how much are they charging for the tray? | |

| Im probably going to put my MileMarker ES12000 on it unless I find something else in the meen time. Rockstar hasnt quoted me a price yet on the mount but from what I have seen I will probably make my own so I can get it just a little bit lower so I dont have to loose so much grill. I have to do some more measuring and see if I can get the fairlead to come out just below the tube on the top side of the skidplate and still be able to reach the clutch handle. | |

| You might be able to use a thicker piece of steel for the skid plate, clock the winch, like how an ARB is mounted, and mount it directly to the steel skid/winch plate. | |

| That was my original plan but I have no way of getting to the clutch on the winch with out crawling under the truck to engage/disengage it. I still might put it there and make up some kind of linkage or cable to work it. As far as the solenoid box I plan on puting it under the hood and just running longer cables its just that clutch has me in a bind. Guess I could just leave it engaged all the time an run the cable out reversing the winch. I plan on getting an RTE bumper eventually and im sure if I cut my grill now it wont match up to what I have now. | |

| It might be easier to weld a receiver onto it, and run a winch that way, when needed. notch the skid plate, and weld the receiver to the skid plate, and the tube above it. Set it in so the reciever pin is behind the skid plate. Maybe use some tube or angle to reinforce the area. Would probably need to weld the skid to the bumper where it meets, instead of using bolts. | |

| When I had my 03 DII , I wanted a winch but also the stock look with the a-frame poly brushguard, the winch mounted nicely, however there is an additional cut ( mentioned nowhere ) in the top side of the bumper to access the free spooling, or you can always spool with the remote | |
