This is across the street from my mom's house. Missed his car by inches

we had a transformer blow up behind our house but i couldnt get a picture thru the trees. made the gas station strobe like a club for about 10 mins.

My front yard looks like a tornado came through we have large branches down all over. We've had 2 trees come down and mild basement flooding. Thinking about going out and getting some video though, but that'd prolly be unsafe haha

I hope everyone is alive and safe out there. Power is out, internet is out, cell service sporadic. Alot of people underestimated this storm.

Lots of blocked roads. a few big limbs. people too scared to drive over them. worst storm damage i have seen. there was one road i came down and some lady was telling me to slow down i came around the corner and there were live wires down and a massive tree tangled in it. the firetruck behind me had to give me room to back out. i didnt get a picture of that one. flooding is pretty good. we are about 1 mile from the sound and 35 feet up so we made it out alright. lost a few shingles and the harbor freight tarp covering my bbq. never lost electric, however we lost cable and internet.

fist pump no more. Seaside Heights no mas.

Yea just got off the phone with my cousin who is trapped in her apartment building in NYC. She is trapped on the 26th floor with no power of food. Her lobby is flooded so she can't even use the stairs if she wanted. NYC really did not prepare for this as much as they should have

no food?!?!? that's very poor planning.

My parents house was hit pretty bad, but my mom is okay because she was staying with me and we were some what unscathed. My dad is flying back in as he was stuck in Cali on business because his boss is a fucking douche bag, I'd call him a cunt but he lacks the depth and warmth.





also no Land Rovers were hurt in the making of this shit storm.

Katie has a bunch of pics from the drive today and last night of the shore towns.
Belmar is washed for the first 3 blocks I was about 3 blocks away from ocean ave and was seeing parts of the board walk, good 10 and 20 foot sections, crushed reeds everywhere. Avon was washed out a few blocks in and on the inlet side. Saw parts of the playground slide a few blocks in. Part of 35 around Shark River was flooded when the river went over its banks.
Spring lake and Sea girt had blocked off all their roads with garbage trucks, trailer long dump bins at the rail road tracks to limit who came in and in Spring Lake they were checking ID's to see if you lived there.
Sea Girt only one road in and out by the NG/state police base. Far as I can tell the ocean came over the dunes and was down more then just a few blocks. Manisquan under water, in that town I saw boats on the road and a restaurant fridge unit washed onto the street.
Asbury Park was washed as well. The lake on the north end rose and breached its banks and flooded the houses big time. The east end connected with the ocean. I mean the sand was at least a foot thick where there was a road when I was driving over it.

Trees down every where, no exaggeration. Intersectons blocked off due to no power for the lights up and down the shore and Im including rts 35, 36, hw 71 etc. Therefore zigzaging around in order to get across only so many intersections are open to cross over.

No gas stations open again no power.

Shoprite on 36 open, Wegmans on 35 open (people were charging their phones with the exterior outlets, lol), Shoprite on 34 in Brielle(?) open those were the only ones I saw open. Random convience stores were open because they were running on generators.

The lakes between the towns on the shore were way way over their banks.

Electric company shut power off last night. Was out for most of the day and came back on around 10pm.

As I hear it from one of my friends all the beach clubs in Sea Bright are gone, Donavans is gone. Monmouth Beach is flooded, houses are flooded out.

The FEMA flood google earth maps were dead on.

man sounds like a mess. there goes the 20 grand my brother in law put down on the rental in Stone Harbor for labor day 2013.

is the turnpike and parkway open? i have no tv or internet. just using my phone so i don't have any news updates. been 2 busy on facebook and twitter.
