Oh and Ed, I still have the receiver and d-clamp you lent me. I leave it on my truck so that I can give it back to you at the Annual.

I also have a random black 3/4 shackle, that i didnt start the day off with. And i would also like to gratefully thank Sam for pulling Ed's flying bumper away from the direction of my head.

Wait, so no pictures of the carnage? From Brian's post in the Welding/Fab thread I gather that Ed's bumper parted ways with his truck?

In a spectacular fashion. I guess 3 trucks pulling tends to break things.

Fuck man, you couldn't make it anywhere, not even to Robesonia to watch my 11 year old son out score me. (Then fuck my truck up beyond all recognition).

Nice! I only watch the videos for the music..
WTF was going on when you were stuck? You couldnt winch your way out? hi lift jacking on one end shovel shit in front on the other? I take it that was desperation mode?

They were taking the hi lift off the back end after getting logs under and we were digging dirt out of the way to make room for the hi lift handle so we could jack up the front tire and get logs under it. Two trucks couldn't pull me out backward, one truck couldn't pull me out forward, three trucks backwards ripped the bumper off, winch is dead.

Nobody tried winching you forward? or did you have the only winch? that sucks..
My first reaction when Brian called me was - why werent they using a receiver mount recovery point instead of the bumper... DUH you didnt have a hitch..
Reminds me of the time Brian got stuck and none of us had a winch

I had the only winch. And its not working at the mo. Even if it was I don't think it would have mattered. I have never seen anyone stuck in anything like what I was stuck in. if I had a 12000 lb winch I could have used the snatch and tried winching forward but I bet I would have done damage underneath the truck. jacking it up and driving it out I think was the best option. My only regret was I didn't have an exhaust jack handy.

Yea I was thinking snatch block and your winch forward would do it but then again I dont know what you were stuck in. I guess that's the nature of the beast.
By the way WTF are those 6 gold things I have now?

Here's his reaction after being told what just happenned:
