Yup, still kicking. I had fun last year and wish my schedule allowed for the trip. I was just at Rausch this past weekend for a Jeep thing, wishing it was a Rover thing. Too many frigin' jeep dorks. I hope to get on one of the next trips with you guys after Rotr.

It's true, I am spawn from the Prince of Darkness. My dad worked for Joseph Lucas for a looonnnng time. He set-up distribution here in the states back in the early 60's: Jacksonville, LA, and Baltimore. He's got a basement full of nos Lucas parts, but not much for Rovers. We had mostly Series rovers growing up and my folks still drive RRC's.

I'm most likely hoteling it for the ROTR. haven't had the time to transfer all of the bits from the Disco to the RRC, and really don't see it happening in the next month, so maybe I'll make this the last hurrah for Big Blue.

what do you guys want to do for lunch on Saturday? Billy has a nice propane BBQ but i don't know if he's going to make it or not. Let me brain storm some ideas tonight.

Being that I work evenings now, I don't cook enough to stock up a huge batch of chili to bring. But I'm sure I can make up a smaller batch, if anyone want to make some also, and either combine everyone's potluck style, or have a NELRC chili cookoff.

I'll bring the giant cooker. Maybe my gas bottle is still up there...

I'm kind of liking the chili cook-off idea, but I can't imagine how that would work for lunch when we're all out wheeling. If we just want to do a big pot where we dump everyone's chili together, I can definitely bring a batch.

Yeah...last year Brian made that big batch over by the competition. That worked out well.

I make a good chicken, corn, noodle stew. I'd be willing to make a big batch of that but I am not sure that is everybody's cup of tea...

FYI...I may have one of my FPLRG buddies (Mike) with me. His D1 is down while he's replacing all the bushings, and probably won't be ready for RotR. (Some of you guys know him...Mike was at the Wilds this year. He's the guy from http://www.selfrelianceillustrated.com/.) If he rides along with me, I'll make sure he brings something too.

and Kase your bringing the big gas fryer setup? do you have a big pot you can bring along? I'm going to freeze the chicken in gallon size ziplocs. anything else we need to make it an awesome lunch?

any guesstimation on how many people are going? ima put mamadukes and wife to cook some espanol stuff for everyone.

thinking of making my own moonshine as well.

OK...so Brett's out...

So who here will be camping vs. staying at the hampton? I'm game for either and i've stayed at the hampton plenty of times, but it sounds like it may be more fun at the hampton. This will be my first ROTR so i'm not really sure where most people usually stay. I know in previous trips most stayed in the hampton, but that was a whole nother class of truck/people haha

well for me its either if my wife goes or not... if i go at it alone i will go with the wind see where everyones at ... im sure bringing my camping gear tho.
