| My collection used to be much bigger, I used to have all kinds of tactical guns, but have since sold most. Previously Owed: Colt Match M4 Kel Tec Sub2000 - .40 glock version Century G3 Some generic AK (i think it was a century import also) And a glock 26. I had put Night sights, 3.5lb trigger, and marine cups in it. All I have anymore is a 10/22, Mossberg 500, LCP/laser for my everyday carry, and my issued g23. | |

| Don't have any yet, so this is more of a wish list: R1 Battle Rifle (basically a South African modified FN FAL) there is a scoped variant but I couldn't find a graphic for it. Colt 45 (good side arm protection when hunting) Beretta 390 Mauser Model 96 Of course these are all for hunting/sporting purposes and home protection . | |

| I would leave that R1 with your dad in PA. I don't think it would be legal in NJ. | |

Even if Semi auto? Huh, NJ gun laws are retarded. I agree. There's a couple ways that it could be deemed illegal: FN FAL's are specifically banned, so if it's marked as one, it's illegal also could be considered illegal under this part of the statute: Any firearm manufactured under any designation which is substantially identical to any of the firearms listed above. But most likely it has to many "evil features" Semi-automatic rifle that has the ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least 2 of the following: a folding or telescoping stock; a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon; a bayonet mount; a flash suppressor or threaded barrel designed to accommodate a flash suppressor; and a grenade launcher;

| Here are my lever guns, since I saw a Marlin mentioned before. Marlin 444- an old Marlin 336 in. 35 Rem and a Henry. 22. This is an AR I built but just sold, I'm building another now. I'm not a fan of them, but you gotta own one. | |

| I'd love a 336 in 35rem, but since NJ is a shotgun only state, you never see them around here in stores, and I would be afraid to buy a used rifle over the internet. I think my best bet is to check Cabela's in Hamburg whenever I'm out that way, and hope they have a 336 in 35rem laying with the dozen or so used 30-30's. | |

I know there are a couple of gun clubs in Levitttown, PA (and a few gun stores) where you might be able to find one. Edit: Specifically Ready Aim Fire.

All the guns there are over priced. I'd go in there to see what I like then go else were.

| Dang! That is an old school Mossberg. Is the Makarov a newer production model, or an old surplus one? | |

I would rather spend the extra $$ if I can see and handle it before buying, than taking a chance over the internet. Although, I'll probably just get a 30-30, so I can come out to pa and hunt with you guys in real woods.

Enfield's are fucking nice as hell, my dad had a surplus WW2 that was "sporterised" meaning that it had the full wood stock replaced with a British Express Rifle Classic Stock. Man I wish he had kept that gun when we moved over because that rifle was fucking sweet, but such is life.

If you really want to hunt you can go to my mom's and sit on the top of her shed and shoot the bear that ripped her garbage apart 3 times in the past 2 weeks. - Quote :

I stopped at a couple places and I couldn't find one. They either had an ass load of Mosin Nagants and Yugo Masuers or .22 cal versions of assault rifles. I really want a Jungle Carbine

Nice. I shot my first deer with a Marlin 336 30-30. It might not be the most exciting caliber out there, but in the kind of terrain you encounter in PA (where long shots are rare and you frequently shoot through brush) it is well suited. A Mak 9x18 was the first firearm I ever bought; right after graduating from college. It's still a great little pistol. - Thebloody323 wrote:

Man I wish he had kept that gun when we moved over because that rifle was fucking sweet, but such is life. Yeah, the Enfields are cool rifles, but they suck to shoot. They kick like a mule (steel butt plate) and the .303 just isn't the most efficient round when you want to 'reach out and touch someone'. I'm a bigger fan of 5.56 for long range competitive shooting (it's what the wife and I used to do before having kids and a old house), and .308/7.62x39 or even .30-06 for stopping power out beyond 30 yards.From that era, the M1 Garand was a far a better option. IMO, America would be a far safer/better place if every house had an old M1 standing in the corner behind the front door.

In my house growing up, there was a sawed off double barrel kept in the front closet.

| I've had two Enfields before and liked them, although the headspacing was going on them. The Ishapor Enfields are supposed to be good and reasonably priced, I just missed out on one. The jungle carbines are sweet, but overpriced and not that accurate apparently. I currently have a Yugo Mauser, Mosin Nagant and an Arisaka for military bolt guns. Here are a couple of ny Czech guns. A VZ-58 rifle....totally different than an ak design. The small pistol is a vz-61 Skorpion in .32 auto. I couldn't rotate the picture, sorry. | |

My house there was a .38 Special and the Enfield, the .38 special was under my dads bed and the Enfield was up in the attic. My dad made sure I knew where the .38 was in case I ever needed to get to it, South Africa during the 90's wasn't exactly a stable place.
