Hi Htr, will you be camping by yourself or with any others? Just trying to approximate a headcount, eventually! Thanks, Kris | |

| Looking good. This place wasn't on the list of campgrounds that Aoaa provided me, so either his places is the campground equivalent of the Bates motel, or it will be a diamond in the rough. We should definitely save the big breakfast for Sunday, so we're not late for Aoaa again.

| Here is the campground information...please let me know if you want to be included in the group area...if you prefer a site, please contact the campground directly and mention that you are part of the Land Rover Group...all payment in person to the campground is CASH ONLY...Saturday breakfast and lunch should be planned as portable for on trail, in order to take full advantage of the AOAA experience...Saturday dinner is being discussed and/or up for grabs...looking at putting together a campground pot-luck shared breakfast Sunday morning...anyone is free to contact me for additional questions...Kris ( i am on the Facebook page for the event as an attendee)
Irish Valley campground is located 15 mins from Shamokin on Irish Valley Road, just off of 61.
We offer a group area, tent sites and pull-thru sites with water and electric.
Group area - Offers privacy away from the main camping area. Has no electric or water hook-up. Can put camper here without hook-up. Bath house is walking distance...up hill. (you may drive to the bath house) Located by the pond, it may be soggy if we have lots of rain. (I was told by the campground that they reserve upper site space for a group in case of the need to relocate from the lower area due to rain - Kris) Cost $5.00 per person. No charge for children 5 and under.
Tent sites - Are any open site you want if not requiring water and electric. Cost $25.00 for 4 people. Additional people on site cost $5./adult, $3./child, 5 and under/free.
Pull thru - Easy access for campers. Same as a tent site, but includes water and electric hookups. Cost $30.00 for 4 people. Additional people on site cost $5./adult, $3./child, 5 and under/free.
All sites include a fire ring and table. Payment is cash upon arrival. We have firewood for $3.00 a crate and ice. The Bath house has hot water for showers and is free for campers. There is a washing machine, but the dryer is temporary out of service. Any questions or concerns may be answered by checking out our web site at irishvalleycampground.com, or calling (570) 259-3395.

| Ok still planning out my trip home cause its going to be tight. I'll probably be interested in camping friday night as well because i don't want to drive 3 hours saturday morning. But looks like I will be driving to 2k miles home on my M/Ts which I didn't really want to do, but I don't think I'll be able to rotate my tires in time for AOAA if I get back Friday. Yay for crappy gas mileage and the constant lullaby of knobby tires . But i'm still siked for AOAA | |
