yours truly, lexi Why don't you pick up some berries at the market so Billy doesn't have to stop every 20 yards on the trail so you can get "your fix".
lulz...
cigarettes and blueberries... WWJD? (what would jill do?)
I guess we need to know if Jake is bringing Hannah, I believe she is a vegetarian. PS: i have a camp shower now so bring a bathing suit if you want to use it at any point. I don't think Hannah is coming. I will ask her again. Since it's a Friday and we both work for the same company I doubt we will both escape. Plus we would have to bring the dogs.. We can cover her food so no worries on that. I got an awesome French press for coffee I'll bring. I'm also hoping to have a Coleman stove similar to Eds. I'll be ready to cook anything.

| Eh shittt I have to get an alignment and get this new drive shaft in. I got a d2 DC shaft from Randy and it was already rebuilt. I'm thinking I may put it in and see how it does for a day. If it doesn't fair well I'll pull it and do the UJ's before the trip (which would suck). My d1 shaft's UJ's are damn near hitting the flange. I need to pull that other one tomorrow morning and see if I can even get the tcase output flange off... On top of that I have to see when I can even leave on Friday.. Probably wont be till late if at all. | |

Getting an alignment and this figured out and we will have to do a day trip to rausch. F-me indeed! Mshar or M-shar. Weird place but real good. Even open Saturday mornings. It's in the "heart" of Harrisburg but find your way in and they will take care of you. They actually BUILT me a drive shaft for my Blazer (once-upon a time)...

| i only took like two pictures. i was too busy trying not to destroy my truck. billy and i both took a shot to a diff mine was front his was back. luckily nothing broke then. billy slid sideways off this massive rock and ended up high centered on it so we used my hi-lift to get him up a bit and stuck some logs and one of my PSP under his tire and he said it worked great he had instant traction. there was plenty of small muddy spots right before massive rocky hill climbs. the rock was so slick you would slide all over the damn place. there were not many areas that had massive sharp rocks like the rock garden at rausch but some of the hill climbs neither of us even attempted. one of them was just a massive slick rock literally no dirt anywhere and it was about a 50 degree angle and 50 feet long. There was barely anyone in the park. We were the only three people camping on Friday night. There are a good amount of trails but they are all tightly wound and short compared to Rausch. The actual park isn't nearly as big as Rausch but you could spend all day going up and down all these damn hills and still not hit every one. They are still building shit. There was digging equipment and big pumps and front end loaders and a dump truck. It was nice getting up there on Friday so we could just relax. There is plenty of space for a group to camp and get together around a fire. The river was pretty cool as well we went down there and washed up (no trucks allowed in the river). Overall i think we could organize a big outing there but they need to do some stuff on their end to get the park ready. a map for one and port-a-potty's that are actually serviced. | |

| So the place was pretty cool. A lot different than Rausch. To get a feel of what it is like, think of those two very long and steep downhill sections at Rausch on that one green trail. Now imagine doing the steepest part upwards, that is this place.....everywhere. There were a lot of trails I didn't think I could do but the truck surprised me. I slid backwards on a lot of them since the mud would just make my tires very slick but once they were clear I would make it. There are not a lot of trails stock trucks could make. And if it rains, the whole place is a mess. On Sunday, it started to rain just a little and our guide said that we had to get back to camp immediately or we weren't making it out of the trail system if it continued to rain. Night wheeling is awesome but very scary when you have never been on the trail before. Sure is a lot smaller than Rausch but with the difficulty level you won't get bored. Anyway here are some pictures: The main area: Some hills Attempted but by the time I got to that first big rock I had no traction from the mud and had to back out From clearing the park there was an endless amount of fire wood we were free to burn. Pretty much had a fire going from the time we got there until we left Camp wherever you want Same hill as posted above Another fun hill It's not a trip without crazy insects Took the wrong line and my pass. rear tire slid off the rock and was hung up on my rear diff. Ed's PSP worked awesome here. They said this is the swimming hole. It is about half full here and there is a giant rope swing for it. Plus some more hill climbs in the back. Our guide helping Ed through some rocks Wheel at night, there are no rules! I did this hill at night. I came up from the right of the tree in the middle of the picture. It's hard to tell from the picture but it the angle is crazy. I had to back into the tree and eventually make it to the left side of the picture to hit the hill from straight on to make it up. Whole different game in the dark Overall it was a fun trip. The park sure needs some structure. Without a map you pretty much need a guide because it is hard to tell what are trails and what are not. The owners were out working on making mud holes and stuff so it will probably be a lot different next time. Anyway here are some more pictures and a few videos in my album. The wrangler is Keith, our guide for the weekend. https://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v142/KingKong82478247/Land%20Rover/Mettowee%208-2011/ | |

I would say a little later in the year because the snow up there will probably keep it muddy for a while. Also I went a total of 560 miles from when I left my house in South Jersey to when I got back. And made it back on one tank of gas.
