I hear ya I am done buying anything until I know the result of taxes from last year.. Got a feeling I'm going to owe a bit of dough.. Also try checking out the Pirate and Rausch Creek boards. A lot of 315/75/16 tires come across there.

| yesterday i had some time in the morning to get some stuff done. i cleaned up the rusty RTE fuel tank skid up and got a few coats of paint on it. finally got the mcmaster carr bolts i needed and got the bumper bolted in nice and tight. i need to cut off the recovery points and light tabs. the recovery points are too small for a regular sized shackle and the light tabs are all sorts of crooked. Brian what did you do for your recovery points? I think you had the same problem with your bottorf. | |

I bought 5/8 alloy shackles, rated for 5 tons, which is a higher rating than standard crosby 3/4" shackles at 4.75ton. My light tabs were crooked too, but I left them, as most lights can be adjusted. http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-8-ALLOY-Clevis-Screw-Pin-Anchor-Shackle-FREE-SHIP-/350116742242?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5184958462

| The problem is that Nate didn't understand that a standard 3/4" shackle has a 7/8" diameter pin, so he drilled the holes to 3/4". | |

| got the shackles to fit.... big problem now is the exhaust sprang a massive leak yesterday when driving to work. i have not driven the truck in a few months. i have been starting it and letting it run just to get the battery charged and fluids moved around...
i need to call justin today and see if he has an exhaust kit otherwise i will be ordering the $300 replacement from Atlantic British. It felt like the truck was jerking when i was on the gas so im hoping that was caused by the exhaust leak and not something else.
the crack is right behind the muffler to the tail pipe. exhaust is shooting out from the sides of the truck because of it and im thinking i might remove the tail pipe for the trip this weekend because i dont want it to fall off on the highway.

| Is it cracked right where the tailpipe meets the muffler, or is there enough there to clamp a new pipe onto? Instead of spending that much money at AB, you're better off bringing it to a muffler shop and just having a new muffler and tailpipe welded on. | |

i have to take a closer look but i think the tail muffler to the pipe that connects to the tail pipe is the piece that is rusted and cracked.
