who did i promise my cd changer to? I can't remember. Moral of the story is, it looks to be a bitch to get out. I was going to try and go after it before the pines but it looks like it's gonna be a pain in the balls. How important and how soon did you (mystery member) want it? you're welcome to it if YOU want to take it out at the pines bearing in mind that im day tripping

Yup thats why I'm going coilovers. Some one made the links about 3" longer so my shocks are hitting the inside of the coulspring mount and I keep breaking shocks.

Saturday at Jakes for lift install also need to sand, paint and install the rear ladder once it arrives from PA which shouldn't take to long once the dude ships it.

Once I get my bumper back from Jake I need to install that and add the two 4000 Hella metals I have sitting here. Already have the the switch and relay ready, should be a simple job.

Replacing the throttle body gasket & trying to figure how to flush the coolant system, refinishing the ARB. Then when I get the time installing the Kicker sub. I just got from Crutchfield, and putting on the ARB on.

those are all easy tasks. except for the sub. the depth of the door doesnt allow for much to be mounted in there.

to flush the coolant systme just pull the damn lowest hose and let it drain. fill it with water run it drain it, fill it with water run it drain it, fill it with coolant, bleed it, done. no need to go crazy.

Good man! I figured you opened your cap and found Dex and freaked out by the convo on the other thread haha

This is how I do my flushes, pretty much the same as Ed..

get the lower hose off - can be a bitch I usually replace mine when it's stuck and remove it with a knife... Put you can also easy a flat head and break the seal it creates from the heat and moisture...

drain it all out, fill it with water and prestone flush (you can use distilled water if you're really freaked out) I use garden hose water for the flushes.. just want to make sure you get any crap out..

Take truck for a spin around the block with heat on - properly warm it up and get it going.

repeat once or twice without the flush additive until water looks clear as can be.

Add new coolant and bleed it.

Today im replacing the blown out 6.5" subs on the gate with (at least one) 6.5" 3-way speaker, that i'll run off my amp. I'm getting new RCA cables to run off the back of the head unit to send signal to the new 6.5"(s), i'll re-rout the sub RCA's as well, as they're a little short, and i cleaned and rattled my wheels flat black again, and i re attached the fifth out of six fender flares. The only one left is where i have to straighten the sheetmetal in the rear quarterpanel before i can re affix, pain in the balls.
Oh and because i drive a lot for work, i'll continue to spend 80-90% of my focus while driving at looksing for roof racks as opposed to actualy paying attention to driving

i street drive it a lot more than i drive it in the dirt. plus it's too cold to do any real work on the truck (ok, not today, today would have been perfect to put on my extended brake lines), until i get a set up like brian where i have a lift in the heat, i'll chill out with the mid jan laying on the pavement type stuff

Jake and I got the lift on, met the a-hole, gained a anit-lock light, almost gained 4 inches of lift and lost a check engine light. Awesome day! Oooh yeah, got to cut a shock off my truck What a Face

Next is to install the rear ladder which should be here in a few days. MATT223081 from Discoweb got bored and ended up sanding and painting the ladder for me. Nice.

Big thanks to Mr. Non-beard for the help and knowledge. cheers

The last picture is looking in the side door. I have the front top in my garage drying. i flat blacked the whole thing. i also sealed up all my holes that were from the seats so no more squirting water thru the back when wading. the right side has two compartments the rear fits my cooler perfectly the front will be for recover gear and tools. the left side is one long section that you can see my folding chairs and my cot in. i have some pace in front of that where i can store sleeping bags clothes etc. im going to get those cases like jill has for my roof rack. will use those for spare parts and dry food. its big enough to sleep on so if im on a trip by myself i can set up my matress pad on top of it and be done. then i have even more room because i don't have to pack my cot and tent. overall im pretty happy with it. i don't even have a hand saw. lol... all the cuts i made with my sawzall sitting on the floor holding the wood with my feet against blocks. super ghetto! i used wood screws, 3/4" plywood, and 2x10's. it's heavy and solid as a brick shit house. it goes the width of my truck had to actually wedge it in there between the wheel wells. didnt think it would fit when i first shoved it in. it goes right up to the back of the seats. eventually might have to trim an inch off the back edge to make more room for the seats to go back. they are back all the way but the back is not it is up a little bit so the seat back does have about an inch more it could move if it had the space.
